eMMC failed 6 weeks ago after just 5 months use. Been pushing back and forth for a resolution since then

I am sad to see this happened to you and also how Ugreen is eroding their reputation this quickly on the NAS market. We just had a discussion whether Uggos can be booted from another drive, be it a clone or a straight install. Unfortunately, it cannot on models with eMMC (DXP2800 and DXP4800). https

Bought a DXP2800, can I upgrade to 32 GB Ram?

Dang! $400!! That cost more than another DXP2800. Anyway, according to another Reddit post, users have had success with 32gb. https://www.reddit.com/r/UgreenNASync/comments/1mbnlju/dxp2800_ram_upgrades_beyond_16gb_share_your/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_butto

Considering moving to TrueNAS

How is the performance of Truenas and docker containers? 100% Flawless. I switched from UGOS mid 2025 after 4 or 5 months of usage and after 2 consecutive ugos updates that "messed up" their docker integration that needed 3 reboots. "Mmmm do I really trust Ugreen enought to have my main server (DXP2

UGREEN OS vs TrueNAS SCALE — which one is worth it?

I bought a Ugreen DXP2800 GT and immediately threw extra ram and an nvme disk in it and installed Proxmox to it. I'm setting it up as a "homelab-in-a-box" where it will establish a wireguard tunnel back to my home network as long as it has internet access. Unfortunately that makes truenas a little t

What gives? My NAS doesn't reach the advertised speeds of 1000 Mbps. Stuck only at 100 Mbps.

TL;DR - Every device on my LAN network can reach 1000 Mbps, except my NAS, which only reaches 100 Mbps. I've tried different cables, switches, router ports, and delved into the command line and trying to force high speeds with `ethtool`. No luck.

EDIT 2: I ended up returning my NAS due to its faul

The demo website?

I had a similar issue with a ugreen dxp2800. Ended up in reducing the amount of concurrent jobs in immich. And pausing some jobs like facial recognition and ocr. Main issue was that the CPU become to hot. As it was nearing 100% the whole time. After that it loads fine also initial loads.

I feel obligated/compelled to highlight a few recent reddit posts here regarding major issues all of us are seeing with our Ugreen NAS'

It's funny you made this thread as I was about to make a post about how NFS is broken with the DXP2800. There is most definitely a problem with the current NFS implementation. Is anyone successfully using a Ugreen NAS as a NFS server with no issues?? Also, NFSv3 is the highest available NFS version

Which NAS is better for a family movie library?

DXP2800 Here's a good review BUT be warned that you will hit a limit with 2 harddrive bay NAS systems as other's have mentioned. For your 30TB dream, may be smart to get a used office computer and stack HardDrives in there.

Shipping delays

I was just coming on here to share my experience. I got an email indicating that both my NAS plus UPS combo were being delivered today. UPS (the carrier) delivered the UPS (power supply backup) only. I chatted with someone at UGreen and the DXP2800 was on backorder. They got a new supply in yesterda

Immich vs UGREEN photo backup performance

I’ve been using DXP2800 for a few months now. Stock photos app is good but not great yet. It has problems detecting metadata from images and Ugreen AI image detection isn’t that great either. Immich on the other hand isn’t that simple to install for new NAS users, but when you install it with hardwa
