It’s not encrypted, and it’s currently not possible to encrypt it only option you have is to use the vault app - it is on their roadmap but looks like its low priority as its been pushed back from last year it seems, the data should be safe otherwise unless someone has physical access to the machine

I ran into a few quirks using the WiFiMan app to connect back to my Unifi network (see this thread). On my iPhone I had to toggle the tunnel on/off a couple of times and then fully close/open the app once or twice before routing would propagate. That might be something to try in your setup as well.

OMV is more low level. I didn't like UGREEN NAS OS because for me is way too highlevel. I like to control my dockers, to use dockhand, to control the underlying deployments, etc, so is no fit for me and i went with OMV. They don't really compare.
