Watching this thread. Currently have zero issues with my Ugreen NAS.

I know this isn't the answer you want, but when the software running on a device is acting questionable, replace it. I've been running TrueNAS on my UGREEN NAS for almost a year. Zero issues.

Sorry UGREEN but this is a bad direction to be heading in. We don't want further AI bloatware on our NAS, the UGREEN AI models for photo management are enough...giving the users capabilities to integrate other AI services like Openclaw agents is a terrible idea and I see it being a security concern

You can get a proper NAS for your money, an all in one package if you like. Look for UGREEN NASync DXP4800 Plus or simmilar.

It’s not encrypted, and it’s currently not possible to encrypt it only option you have is to use the vault app - it is on their roadmap but looks like its low priority as its been pushed back from last year it seems, the data should be safe otherwise unless someone has physical access to the machine

I defer to others that know best but everything I have read suggests that you want a better processor in a NAS than the 2300 contains if you want to use it for media streaming.
