I literally can't even

Yeah, just submitted. It's been a frustrating experience with the UNAS line. Starting with this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/comments/1rvioew/unas_4_has_drive_failed_all_four_ssds/ Which I returned both UNAS 4 for the UNAS Pro 8, thinking it would do a better job handling my specific model of SSD (s

Is the UNVR End of Life? New customer and I'm confused...

While inaccurate on the software end, I'll just mention that if you're looking to buy it, there may be some considerations from the UNAS lineup. At least previously, the UNAS Pro and UNVR Pro shared hardware within the 2U variant. Recently, the UNAS Pro has received some updates and there is a 1U (P

Does anybody have a sense whether the UNAS Pro will stick around for another year or so?

They’ll likely keep selling it for a long time (at least, as long as they keep selling the UNVR-Pro it’s based on) but there’s no promise it will be this on sale again. Then again, in a year the UNAS-Pro-8 could also be made more affordable by them adding even more stuff to their lineup. Planning a

Considering Ubiquiti for Home Network - Questions

No I don't think they have sales at all I don't see any issue I prefer to place multiple access points but at low antenna power, instead of a single access point running at max power. Roaming works great on recent devices and connectivity is at 100%. For example, I prefer the U7 Lite for bedrooms an

UNAS Pro 8 Available in EU!!

unfortunately ubiquiti seems on a roll to push out full size rack releases recently, my peasant 500mm depth rack can't hold in, which the unas pro 8 is. at least i use it as an excuse to prevent myself from buying new toys. 😅

Unas Pro vs Unas Pro 4

I think the UNAS Pro 4 will barely fit. The toolless mini rack length is 460mm. The UNAS Pro 4 is 400mm. One thing to note is the 460mm length is for the dimensions of the minirack... I dont know why ubiquiti doesn't list max supported length for the equipment. I guess cause things can just stick ou

Warning that bears repeating - Unifi UPS offerings DO NOT SUPPORT UNAS-Pro-8

Wow, that would be a major design issue for their ecosystem. I've got one sitting new in box, plus 4 more 12TB's, I was going to add to my system, to migrate from my unas pro. Would it be fine if connected to the ubiquiti pdu instead of directly to the ups?

What unreleased/unannounced hardware updates are you hoping for most?

I get that a lot of the people in this sub are prosumers and concerned with the appearance of their rack. But I really hope Ubiquiti doesn’t go this direction. Many SMB customers would benefit from a 4-drive 1U NAS. Likewise, losing one drive on the UNAS Pro and UNVR Pro simply for the LCM makes zer

IDS/IPS on base UDMs: is it possible?

I too am disappointed with my UDM Pro. I took its advertised capabilities at face value and did not stop to properly assess the underlying hardware - which I now realize is quite anemic. I'm old enough that I don't want to suddenly saddle my family with an overly complicated home network and so I th

Talk me out of buying a UNAS Pro.

Deployed a UNAS Pro 8 on 12.17.25 and ran into this same issue. Considering it has 3 network interfaces I naturally assumed management and data traffic could be separated. In my scenario I was going to place management on the single ethernet connection and data on the 2 SFP+ connections in aggregrat
