What router do y'all use?

Depends on how big your house is and how many devices you have connected. I always aim to get a single beefy router; but if you have a large house you might be better off with a mesh system - something like Deco X55 is somewhat in your budget.

Shaw Airpods versus TPLink Deco

I recently switched to Rogers/Shaw 1G from Telus due to cost. I was getting good speeds 800+ near the Rogers router, but the pods were unreliable. They seemed to drop out constantly and I would have trouble reconnecting my iPhone. I would wake up every day with no connection and have to go stand bes

Deco X55 crashes 1-2 times/day

I wanted to follow up here - appreciate the thoughts and advice. I ended up replacing my main unit with a single BE23 unit which was about $60 on Amazon the day I bought it. Things have been working great since and I reused the previous main in another outbuilding I’ve got. I specifically went with

Does your mesh system perform well?

We have 2 deco x55, an x50, and an x10 with wired backhaul and everything works seamlessly. Great coverage all around the house.

Slow WiFi router (Nokia 5G)

Start first by running a wired speed test on your router to see if the placement gets you the best speed. Because sometimes the problem lies on the source. If the speed is good and it’s not what you are getting over wifi, than it’s absolutely a must for the new router. I would start to consider betw

Home network brand selection

I’ve got a Deco X55 as main unit, a X50 outdoor PoE for my car en charger and a X50 PoE to cover my entire house. 160m2 old brick house with basement. Your M5 units are WiFi5 and you will see a significant improvement in coverage when upgrading to WiFi6. For now I would not spend the extra money on

Would a 2 Pack Tplink Deco M4 work for my home?

Dont get M4 it’s obsolete, its only WiFi standard 5 and you should get at least WiFi 6, WiFi 7 is also available but still to expensive. Get something like Deco X55 or X60, they are reasonable prices and provide awesome coverage and speed.

Starlink worth it in Boston?

Look into one of the following routers to upgrade your Xfinity setup. This will make your life so much better. I recommend a minimum of a three-pack to get solid coverage inside and out around your house. TP-Link Deco X55 AX3000 NETGEAR Nighthawk Tri-Band Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 System (MK73S) Tenda

I need to upgrade my family's WIFI (I think?)

Yes it's most likely your Mesh that is the bottleneck. I upgraded from Google Nest (5 access points) to TP-Link Deco X55 and X50 (2 access points) and i have way better coverage and speed now with less than half the access points. What really made a difference for me was getting the X50 mounted in th

I’m trying to get a new Mesh for my internet from Best Buy

Based on your budget, your best option would be between Amazon Eero 6+ and TP-Link Deco X55 You can also look for used options for better mesh such as Asus Zenwifi Pro ET12 or Amazon Eero Pro 6E
