wired router from desktop extender?
i bought a new router about a year ago when i got sonic.net 10gigabit service. its a tp-link ax3000 (archer ax55 pro) and it seems to work well but when im in my backyard the 2.4ghz is very slow from what i think is too many people with wifi around me. i tried an app to check the channels and it did

Extending my Starlink wifi for use at campsite
Our TP Link Archer AX55 in our all-metal motorhome provided a strong signal to our camping buddies motorhome two rows over at a wooded Rv park in Fort Nelson off the AlCan highway. Not sure just how far a quality signal from this device would travel but on this trip it is proved to be very robust. W

What are we all doing for routers?
You say you aren't tech savvy so I'm assuming you aren't running a home server or anything niche, what devices do you need to run, and what sort of workload (HD/4K streaming? Gaming? Heavy downloads? How many users at once?) I'm guessing a little here looking at the photo but the router looks like a

Is it worth getting a third party router?
YES. Put hub in cable modem mode, add something like a TPlink Archer AX55 and away you go. Massive improvement in range and reliability.

Cat6/ethernet in New Build?
Yepp, a great point - I already have this one: https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax55/ I might upgrade down the line, but this does well in my current home. It's in the very corner of the ground floor (awful spot, but it's where my WFH setup it) and devices can get Wi-Fi

Router suggestions for our house? 500mbps plan
Honestly, I like my tp link ax55. The range is very good, if you place it central to your home, you will get good coverage for 5ghz and pretty much perfect coverage for 2.4ghz. Use ethernet where possible.

Can you help me get a new router please?
I'd recommend the TP-Link Archer AX55. IIRC mine cost $70. It's a Wi-Fi 6 router, so can maintain consistently fast speeds up to nearly 100 feet away and can also handle multiple users streaming 4K simultaneously. Wi-Fi 6 also handles lots of devices much more efficiently than your old AC1750 thanks

Asmeninis maršrutizatorius(router) vs Telia siūlomi
Turiu Tp-Link AX55, puikiai 1Gbps veikia, 0 problemų, stiprus ryšys ir nebrangus routeris. (Atsirado AX55 pro, atrodo geresnis, nors kaina panaši) Apie wifi 6e kolkas galvoti nelabai apsimoka, nebent tikrai negali prasivesti laido iki pc žaidimui arba turi 2Gbps.

Can i get some recommendations for a decent modem router for FTTP.
I got a tp link ax55 or something. $120, great coverage in a double storey by itself and the wifi speed is good. Front yard wifi camera and Powerwall in harage always linked too, no drop outs.
