Perfected Moccamaster Plastic Free Mods

Do you really think that Technivorm didn't think of that?!? It was designed this way to keep the bed agitated. Your grounds should be fine enough that the water backs up in the brew basket. This must be the most misunderstood aspect of the Moccamaster.

Purchasing soon

•Most of the consumer models will start with “K”.•If it has a “T” in the model, it’s a steel thermal carafe. If there is no “T” it is the glass carafe with warming plate.•If there is a “G” in the model, it has auto drip stop (pull out the carafe for a cup before it’s done brewing) If there is no “G”

KBTS or KGBV Select

Im a big fan of the stainless carafe vs. the glass pot. I didn't want the carafe at first, but Nordstrom sold a handful of KBT's for $195.00 one day a couple of years ago, and I had to do it. Its the best happy accident ive ever made. The benefit of the stainless carafe is twofold for me: you can ta

Need Help with the Best Drip Coffee Maker 2026?

Based on your requirements, a Moccamaster seems like the best fit. Specifically the Optio or the KBGV Select. If you make a lot of coffee at once, consider getting the thermal carafe version as that is far better at maintaining both heat and flavour. The glass version “cooks” the coffee on the hotpl

Recommendations for a Drip Coffee Maker

What a shame the disturbed, chronic downvoters react this way to a member asking for help. Since it is a core part of reddit, there is nothing much a sub can do about it. Don't rule out used. I just took delivery of a 5 yr old Moccamaster KBT, with my much preferred old style tapered all stainless t

Moccamaster Water Distribution Mod

I am also looking at combining the Bunn shower head with the Moccamaster Grand Coffee outlet arm with a suitable size stainless steel nipple to connect them. An enclosed version would be better I think. https://www.amazon.com/OCS-Parts-Replacement-01082-0003-Dispensers/dp/B0CTVZRSGL/ref=b2b_gw_d_ci_mcx_

Best drip coffee makers for home with no bells and whistles?

Another vote for the Technivorm Moccamaster. I've used lots of drip machines through the years and this one is my favorite. Wonderful coffee, no fuss, beautiful, built to last and if there is a problem it can be repaired.

Disappointed!

All of your gripes are 100% valid except number 1 which has already been explained. I would never pay full price for one and I had some buyer’s remorse at $200. The boiler part of the machine is solid but the ancillary parts are pure crap. People justify it saying it doesn’t matter. True. But crap c
