Synology DS425+. I have one and it works great for what I need. I installed 4x 12TB Seagate Ironwolf HDDs, and I use it for Time Machine backups, Plex, and surveillance cameras footage for 8 Eufy cams.

The Synology DS223 can be used for media playback, but its CPU isn't as powerful as the next model up.
