woohoo!

Even with the push for "branded drives" in a Synology, I'd be moving that way if I were you. I have a Synology 5-Bay DiskStation DS1525+ (Diskless) that I got off Amazon for $699 (Now $799) back in July of 2024. I populated it with 16Tb Ironwolf drives. Never been happier. I migrated all my Drobo 5S

Bought it on the back of having a ds413 that has lasted me 12 years and buying lots of ds and rack based systems for business over the years. Apart from several rs units f

NAS for Home Theater Media Question

I moved from plex and other tings running on an old windows pc to a synology ds1821+. If I had it to do again I'd do the same. For me the killer app is SHR allowing disparate drives to give redundancy. I love the rich user community - I had my apps all install on a local ssd before I added the cache
