I just replaced my fenix 7x with a vertical 2 and must say so far it's fine. I really miss Garmin Pay but on the other hand I wanted to quit paying with an American payment provider anyway. Sleep tracking is okay for me, somewhat different then Garmin but neither are perfectly accurate anyway. I use

Garmin probably has more features and I've used Garmin watches for ages for the fear of missing out but not being a pro athlete suunto covers more then enough of the basics for me. I prefer the look of the race 2 / vertical 2 over the recent Garmin watches and especially dislike what Garmin has done

I came from a Fenix 8 and switched to a Suunto Vertical 2, and I loved the aesthetics, the watch faces, the interface, but as others have mentioned, it didn't detect how many times I woke up during the night, I couldn't see my oxygen levels at night, and some other metrics were missing. Now that I

For general use, battery life, even at it's worst, is still measured in weeks on the Race and Vertical series. With the Race S having the worst battery life since it is the smallest model and the Vertical Solar having the best because the verticals have larger batteries in addition to the solar. The

I came from Apple Watch, briefly to Garmin, then got a Vertical (1 - steel solar) a year ago. I too thought it was a great looking watch which is why I bought it. I cant speak for everyone here bc the Suunto reddit group seems to be a place where people bitch about Suunto, so ALL YOUARE READING HERE

I get that. If the Vertical 2 was Coros', there was really no question. But that's why I went with Suunto. The hardware cannot change. The software and the app can change. The weight of the Vertical 2 isn't that much, by the way. I had the Polar Grit X, which was 64 g. The Suunto Vertical 2 is 74 g.

If you want a smart watch buy a garmin, if you want a sport watch consider suunto ;) Garmin watches are more customizable, provide more data, but I don’t think they are better. I would say that for someone interested in sport, how the body works, how training must be done suunto is really good. Tsb

It's simply what the market wants. People are accustomed to AMOLED displays - they're coming from Apple/Google watches and they appreciate the visual quality, even if it means sacrificing battery life during sports activities. Most users aren't familiar with MIP technology, and when they encounter s

Well, I used the Race 2 for a month after coming from a Coros Pace 3. So: in terms of hardware, or hardware design, the improvement was massive — the Race 2 feels industrial, modern, robust, yet simple and elegant. It’s a 10–0 win over the Pace 3. The app: I really like the Coros app and its simplic

I have a Fenix 8 and a vertical 2 and here is what i think. Sleep tracking on the Suunto doesn't work for me. Sitting around and watch tv in the evening is considered sleeping with Suunto. Therefore a lot of metrics are not right since i sleep much longer on the watch than i really do. For hiking i
