I’ve had the Grit X2 for two weeks now. Honestly, I’m delighted with it. I’ve tried Garmin (Instinct 2X Solar, 6X), Suunto (Vertical 2), and Coros (Nomad). Polar’s recovery metrics are on another level. It does everything, and it does it well. Having more metrics doesn’t necessarily make you better

I just replaced my fenix 7x with a vertical 2 and must say so far it's fine. I really miss Garmin Pay but on the other hand I wanted to quit paying with an American payment provider anyway. Sleep tracking is okay for me, somewhat different then Garmin but neither are perfectly accurate anyway. I use

Yeah, I did. When they implemented this, I had to agree; if not, Suunto would cancel the account and all the data. I declined, canceled my account, and sold my vertical solar and bought a Coros. Fast forward 9 months or so. I missed Suunto, sold my Coros, and bought a Vertical 2.I really don't like

I came from Apple Watch, briefly to Garmin, then got a Vertical (1 - steel solar) a year ago. I too thought it was a great looking watch which is why I bought it. I cant speak for everyone here bc the Suunto reddit group seems to be a place where people bitch about Suunto, so ALL YOUARE READING HERE

I ditched my fenix for a vertical 2 and really only miss Garmin pay. The bells and whistles are 99% stuff I don't need, plus Garmin is making you subscribe to multiple subscriptions now if you want all the features. The fact that a new Garmin fenix Sapphire would set me back over €1000 also helped i

Good question, normally i would tell you on Garmin vs Suunto. Take the Suunto Vertical 2 its cheaper and step by step the watch is getting closer to the Garmin features.... But in your case (longterm Garmin user) maybe it is better to stay in the Garmin environment. Because there is datas which are

I owned the Fenix 8, and I just switched to the Vertical 2. Here’s my thoughts. Getting the watch you want depended on what my primary use case was. The Fenix 8 is more powerful, more feature rich, and provides more data, but I found a lot of drawbacks for me personally. I primarily use the watches

My feelings with the Race 2 and Suunto in general (I own a Solar Vertical also) I sent back the Race 2 for pretty much the same reasons as you stated but I’ll also list a couple of issues I can’t stand anymore. Sleep tracking is garbage on the Race 2 the watch picked up multiple 7 hour sleeps and re

Well, I used the Race 2 for a month after coming from a Coros Pace 3. So: in terms of hardware, or hardware design, the improvement was massive — the Race 2 feels industrial, modern, robust, yet simple and elegant. It’s a 10–0 win over the Pace 3. The app: I really like the Coros app and its simplic
