Lifelong runner and Garmin user since the original Forerunner 201, with numerous devices from a few brands along the way and now with a Balance 2. I have little reason to consider another brand at this point. Amazfit has fixed or added most of the important things for me as a runner. Sure Garmin has

I’ve had the Grit X2 for two weeks now. Honestly, I’m delighted with it. I’ve tried Garmin (Instinct 2X Solar, 6X), Suunto (Vertical 2), and Coros (Nomad). Polar’s recovery metrics are on another level. It does everything, and it does it well. Having more metrics doesn’t necessarily make you better

What I'd like to happen - A new marketing department that understands how to sell based on the products strengths, and realises that they also have a line of other products that they need to get out to reviewers such as headphones and hrm bands. A new support system that isn't confusing and let's yo

Please don't make it a smartwatch like some competitors, keep it a product for outdoor enthusiasts. I am with Suunto for reliability and simplicity in the mountains. Improve wrist HR, articulate the bezel on the vertical like the race, keep the Vertical 2 made in Finland.

My sportwatch evolution has been quite a ride: Apple Watch > Fenix 7 > Tactix 7 > Vertix 2 > Fenix 7X Pro > Fenix 8 > Vertix 2S > Race 2 > Vertical 2. In my experience, Garmin has become increasingly overpriced. Their lineup is cluttered with lifestyle features I rarely touch, and even the OS on the

I just replaced my fenix 7x with a vertical 2 and must say so far it's fine. I really miss Garmin Pay but on the other hand I wanted to quit paying with an American payment provider anyway. Sleep tracking is okay for me, somewhat different then Garmin but neither are perfectly accurate anyway. I use

Garmin probably has more features and I've used Garmin watches for ages for the fear of missing out but not being a pro athlete suunto covers more then enough of the basics for me. I prefer the look of the race 2 / vertical 2 over the recent Garmin watches and especially dislike what Garmin has done

I think that the Vertical, especially the solar version is still a compelling option in 2025, even now with the release of the Race 2 and Vertical 2. As both of the second generation watches are very similar to each other (largely boils down to the presence of a rotating crown, the flashlight, and v

It's preference really, Coros and Suunto are so close to each other about how everything works. Training and sports are the main focus for both. Suunto just has much more experience and that shows in features. Just returned from Coros Apex 4 back to Vertical 2. And it wasn't cause Coros was bad, I j

I came from Apple Watch, briefly to Garmin, then got a Vertical (1 - steel solar) a year ago. I too thought it was a great looking watch which is why I bought it. I cant speak for everyone here bc the Suunto reddit group seems to be a place where people bitch about Suunto, so ALL YOUARE READING HERE
