Need recommendations for a budget friendly tac light for an AR
For a little bit more, you can get a Streamlight ProTac HL-X. Primary Arms has it on sale for $119.99. At Premium Select Supplies, it's $123.96 with code STREAM15, but it might be cheaper from them out the door (vs. Primary Arms) when you factor in tax and shipping. I bought one from them in Decembe

MPX SDK
That thing looks ridiculously clean already, the compact setup with the tucked can has such a good balance to it. For lights I’d probably lean Surefire Mini Scout or Modlite PLHv2 if you want something bombproof, but honestly a Streamlight HLX Pro would fit the vibe and save you a few hundred bucks

After a year of planning, I own one. Need practice ammo and next accessory?
Your buddy is dumb for laughing at the idea of a light since you’re planning on having this for home defense. You can’t shoot what you can’t see… Streamlight is usually the recommendation as far as quality versus price. They’re reliable and if you shop around/wait a bit you can usually find a Pro Ta

Going to my first gun show. Any tips?
weapon lights for my ARs. Go buy a Streamlight ProTac HLX off whichever online vendor has it the cheapest. Chances are that whatever you find at a gunshow that is cheap, is just rebranded cheapo Amazon knock offs or counterfeits, anything that is good will be overpriced.

I never should've been given a credit card or a vise bench. Now I can't stop
The 16" and 11.5" both use the Streamlight ProTac HL-X, and the 18" uses a Streamlight ProTac 2. I'd recommend the HL-X (or HL-X Pro) since it's much more powerful while still being pretty decently priced, abt 120 bucks on Amazon last I checked

Just a heads up, Somogear restocked the wmx200.
My thoughts exactly and so far I’ve heard all positive things about it, especially for being what it is. Slightly better output than a pro tac hl-x and not dropping the coin for a surefire, I mean you cant go wrong. Hell I might even pick up one for their ngal’s to test out since I’m entering the wo

Chose The MossBerg 590 Thunder Ranch Edition
The GG&G Mount has survived slightly over 1000 shells of random loads so I recommend it. I first bought the ZSM Shotgun Flashlight Mount but only shot roughly 100 shells with it on but it worked fine for that 100. For flashlights I recommend the Streamlight ProTac HL-X. Its on the PSA website for li

Streamlight vs Surefire
Streamlight makes excellent pistol lights (TLR-1 variants for full sized and TLR-7 variants for compact) and decent rifle lights (ProTac 2.0 and ProTac HL-X) Surefire makes excellent rifle lights (640 and 340 variants) and decent pistol lights (X300 variants for full sized) Surefire: Made in USA $$$

My first AR
Solid foundation to build on. Three accessories are, imo, mandatory: Light, so you can see what you’re shooting at before you pull the trigger. Streamlight’s ProTac HLX model is affordable and a good performer. Optic, because modern optics allow most people to shoot more accurately and quickly than
