Headlamp recommendations for technical night trail training
Fenix HM65R-T version 1. I have tested both version 1 and 2 and there are significant differences between them. It's been while ago but if I'm correct, version 2 has two lights but the light bream is the same when version 1 has narrow and wife beams for better flexibility. I used it in 100K UTMB Ver

ruuning headlamp
•Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 is absolutely awesome. You take extra Battery with you and you have super bright light all night long. I have it, wouldn't change for anything else. There is only one thing that I'm considering negative. It's a bit front heavy. After wearing it 2 nights in a row I developed small

Headlamp for 100M (12 hours in the darkness)
The Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 is kind of like the Salomon Adv Skin 12 of headlamps for long ultras. There are a whole bunch of reviews of this headlamp out there, so take a look.

Best Ultramarathon Lighting System 2026
The Fenix only does 160 lumens for 10.5 hours and drops to 50 lumens https://zeroair.org/2021/05/26/fenix-hm65r-t-headlamp-review You can't put it on your waist either. I run with two Nitecore HA11 and HA15, both 1xAA and one can be put on your head and one put on your waist, with 2 spare batteries

Head Lamps, Waist Light or Other Recommendations
Snap. I have a Fenix HM65R-T for the head and a Ultraspire 600 for the waist and they both throw out the right amount of light for me to comfortably run technical trails in the dark.

Headlamp for 100M (12 hours in the darkness)
Here's some considerations: Buy good buy once rather than saving a few bucks and buying another one down the road, I have too many head torches, I wish I'd known about and purchased what I have now, even though expensive I would have saved money in the long run Don't believe any of the numbers for p

What’s the go to Headlamp?
I’ve had one of these for well over a year now... IMHO, best headlamp I’ve ever had: https://fenix-store.com/collections/headlamps-hm-series/products/fenix-hm65r-rechargeable-headlamp-1400-lumens It features a buttery smooth ‘flood’ mode & is comfortable. It’s rechargeable, has good battery life, an

What light to get?
The HM65R is hands-down the most high quality light that won’t break the bank. The biggest advantage it has is the flood and spot lights being able to operate independently and simultaneously. I currently run one on my helmet with a zebra floody below in their warmest light tone to make up for the o

Headlamps on a budget
Energizer headlamp, like $6 on sale. Got me through years of backpacking and the beginnings of my trail running. For the more expensive kind get the Fenix HM65R-T and a couple extra batteries.

alternatives to generators that don't make camp sound like a construction site?
What type of janky headlamp do you have that only lasts a few days? I do long multi-week backcountry canoe trips and my headlamp (Fenix HM65R) will easily last for 3 weeks of daily use.
