Did I finally find the light sweet spot?
The foxtrot msr was made for the kuna. Only light option imo unless you’re rocking the haga handguard, compact pressure switch saves your precious rail space. Leaves a bit of a shadow with a can but there’s probably an offset mount on arisaka that would help with that

My new AR needs a light
I went with a Sig-Saeur Foxtrot MSR. It's like $200 on their website, but you can get it for $180 from Primary Arms instead. It's going to be more expensive than the HLX pro and probably has seen less use overall as it's a newer release. I do like that it comes with two USB-C rechargable 18650 batte

Need a good rifle light
The company sucks, but the Sig Foxtrot MSR is pretty excellent, and it's compatible with surefire switches. It's probably the best non-streamlight in that price range. Otherwise there's Olights which have a probably somewhat unreasonably tarnished reputation due to a user error incident that resulte

Need a good rifle light
Honestly I think the streamlight flickering thing is overblown. They're good to go IMO. I've had no issues with my Foxtrot MSR (got it before the whole TPUSA thing) and honestly prefer it because I can use surefire switches and scout-style mounts, but I understand why folks wouldn't buy them.
