This stuff ain't cutting it.

I've been using the Fenix PD36R Pro for the last two years and it's been great. They have a site-wide 20% off sale this weekend, plus (for a limited time) a free keychain flashlight. https://www.fenixlighting.com/products/fenix-pd36r-pro-rechargeable-flashlight?variant=44181864284214

What’s going on with Olight?

Ya I’d like to see more variety in emitters and an option for no proprietary batteries. I have a Fenix pd36r pro I use a lot for a solid torch and the closest thing that comes to it is the warrior ultra or the seeker 4 pro. I wanna see a solid line for torches. My go to around the house light is the

Nightshift Walkaround flashlight

Ive been using a Fenix PD36R PRO for years. Its a really good balance of throw and flood. Easy to use buttons, charges fast and lasts well over a week before it needs another charge.

Duty Light Recommendations

https://www.fenixlighting.com/products/fenix-pd36r-pro-rechargeable-flashlight?variant=44181864284214 You don't have to get my recommendation, obviously, but do choose a rechargeable 18650 or 21700 battery and I advise a stiff tail switch vs a soft side body switch. Most modern flashlights get hot e

What should I get off my belt and leave on? Or should I add anything else?

Given how little real estate you have on your belt, you look like you might be as skinny as I am. Objective one: Low profile pouches and more streamlined gear to minimize width on the belt. Esstac or Haley mag pouches. 5.11 Flex or Ethos Survival cuff case. DefMech flashlight pouch. Zero9 OC pouch.

Observation of Spouses EDC.

Her favorite light is the Fenix PD36R Pro. She like the instant "fast flash" button but its too big for her I assume Because she hangs it up unless shes walking the dont or leaving home at night. She doent normally take it for daytime EDC. Maybe they have a smaller one?

Best flashlights to use for corrections

Lights I've used at work: Convoy S series (all sorts of customization, modes, levels) Nitecore MH11 (simple UI, 1,000L) -easy to hand to someone else in a pinch (also simple includes the Wuben C3 or Streamlight Macrostream) Sofirn SK30 (for seeing far away in the dark)- almost identical to Fenix PD3

P938 and CRK MEFP Zaan

Yes- Fenix PD36R PRO. My only complaint is that it has no lock out and the button is too easy to engage. I burnt a hole in my jacket on a hike because it engaged and it could have been worse If in my pants. If I’m going for a pocketable clicky I look for one with guards around like my old Nitecore M

Flashlights?

I use the Fenix pd36r pro. It's 2800 lumens and you can adjust the brightness as you see fit. I love it and I have been using it for close to 2 years now.
