What’s the go to Headlamp?
I’ve had one of these for well over a year now... IMHO, best headlamp I’ve ever had: https://fenix-store.com/collections/headlamps-hm-series/products/fenix-hm65r-rechargeable-headlamp-1400-lumens It features a buttery smooth ‘flood’ mode & is comfortable. It’s rechargeable, has good battery life, an

new running headlamp
Out of your three I’d pick the Fenix HM65R-T. For several reasons: I’m a huge fan of the 18650 rechargeable battery platform, it comes in some cool colors, it can also use the CR123 primary batteries and it has a built in charger. The other two do not have these things so for me it would be a pass o

Headlamp for 100M (12 hours in the darkness)
Here's some considerations: Buy good buy once rather than saving a few bucks and buying another one down the road, I have too many head torches, I wish I'd known about and purchased what I have now, even though expensive I would have saved money in the long run Don't believe any of the numbers for p

Headlamp recommendations for technical night trail training
I have a Fenix HM65R-T that I picked up when I ran Pinhoti and it was great, tons of light with spot and flood options, also warm vs cool light, I think the warm light makes it easier to see the rocks and roots. Has a rechargeable battery that’s easy to switch out (and lasts a long time). The only c

Headlamps on a budget
Energizer headlamp, like $6 on sale. Got me through years of backpacking and the beginnings of my trail running. For the more expensive kind get the Fenix HM65R-T and a couple extra batteries.

Fenix lights for caving
I'm moderately new and have been very happy with a Fenix HM65R as my main light and Sofrin H25S's as my backups. They aren't the absolute best on the market, but this has been my experience:Pros:- all are USB-C rechargeable and use 18650s- I've never had my Fenix die on me (or even get below half -

Best Ultramarathon Lighting System 2026
This a great post - I do disagree with a few points: a) I don't think 150 lumens will be enough for a lot of people. For me, I prefer 300-400 lumens as a 54 year old guy who wears glasses. So I target a 5-6 hour runtime with one battery change during the night.b) I have the Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 and if

18650 Compatibility - Fenix
I never noticed before that my Fenix brand batteries that came with my headlamp are indeed a little shorter longer than the off-brand button top ones I bought separately. I will say I never had an issue with the off-brand batteries working for me. They seem to function just as well as the Fenix batt

Advice on headlamps
What does your partner currently have? Fenix HM65R-T or HP12R-T are both highly rated. They use 18650 batteries that are rechargeable and swappable. The HP12 splits the battery and light so it's more balanced and you get a red light at the rear. Petzl Swift RL is good but has a proprietary battery.

Recommendations for head torches for sunrise hikes up mountain? That ideally won’t break the bank🤣
Really like my Fenix HM65R v2. Did a lot of research before buying, although my main use case is trail running. Extremely solid, manageable size and weight, reputable brand, USB-C rechargeable and a nice usable and bright warm white LED plus a slightly brighter cool white when needed. Like all headt
