Can anyone recommend a comfortable chair for long hours of remote work that doesn’t break the bank?
i feel you on the sore back after full days. the branch chair is decent for $300 but the steelcase series 1 at $500 is worth the jump - way better lumbar and seat cushion that doesnt flatten. also check out the sihoo m18 around $250 or the clatina mellet if you want a headrest. what helped me was ge

Computer chair recs: Do any of you have a chair where you're able to sit with your legs crossed?
My husband sits cross legged in the steelcase Series 1 and you can catch it on Amazon “used” (warehouse deals rebranded) for around $400 or less. That’s less than $50 more than your current budget. (That said, the steelcase sucked for my back personally, and that’s why he has it… but he loves it) Ev

Illustrator Here, This is My 2026 Setup Vs. My 2025 Setup, Any thoughts about what ergonomics to add?
yeah for drawing all day i’d probably think about the chair before chasing smaller desk accessories. curious if people here would put nouhaus ergo3d in the same conversation as steelcase series 1 for long illustration sessions, or if the safer move is still the more traditional office-chair route.

Best chair for home office - having herniated discs
I have a bad back and use a Herman Miller Aeron desk chair and love it. It’s comfortable on my back, and the material it’s made out of is really breathable and doesn’t make you sweaty if it’s hot. Luckily my employer was moving offices and decided they didn’t want to pay to move all the furniture an

Suggest a chair pls.
I have a Steelcase Series 1 I have been using for about 5 years now that I absolutely love. It has held up great. It's $530 brand new, pre-tax, so it's probably just outside of your price range, but if you go the route I did and get a refurbished one then it falls within your budget. You may be able

IT Layer 1.5 - Q1 2026
so I had an Ikea Marcus for years, everyone on reddit hated it said it looked uncomfortable. However over time the hardware started to fail. So there was a 20% sale with Steel Case Series 1. Pulled the trigger and couldn't have be more happy. I have sat on this chair for 4-6 hours straight trying to

Best Height Adjustable Standing Desks to buy in the Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale and beyond - full list of top models in India with features and USPs
Though I agree with your take, it kind of doesn't apply to me because of my exposure to excellent steelcase chairs and standing desks in my office. I've actually bought a used steelcase leap v2 chair and found it very comfortable(coming from steelcase series 1, and a think chair on my office desks).

Any other women here on the shorter/petite side who’ve actually found an ergonomic chair that fits properly long term?
I’m petite and went through that same search. Ended with a steelcase series 1. So comfortable. Has all the features you’re asking for.
