anyone else think the fujifilm camera naming is a shitshow?

The Sony Aps-c naming convention is awful but it works like this: Entry level: a6000 (2014) replaced by a6100 (2019) Midrange: a6300 (2016) replaced by a6400 (2019) Enthusiast: a6500 (2016) replaced by a6600 (2019) One aps-c to rule them all: a6700 (2023) That’s how you get an a6400 that’s newer tha

Which setup for wildlife?

Between these two, Z50ii hands down. It’s a newer body, and its AF system with animal/bird detection will blow the a6600 out of the water. As well as video capabilities, should you ever need them. The wildlife lens lineup is superb both on Nikon and Sony, with Nikon having more first party prime opt

Sold my Sony a6000 and got x100vi

Funny, as I recently bought a (lightly used) Sony A6600 and am having so much fun with it, am thinking of selling my X100VI... 🤔

Which APS-C weather-sealed camera + lens with IBIS and a tilting screen are you buying? (Fuji XT-5 vs Sony a6600)

Come on bro the xt5 is many leagues above that a6600 they cannot be compared in any spec and overall quality. Yes im a sony and Fuji shooter. That xt5 is a beast of a camera.

Finally I’m getting a long lens for birding!

I have the Contemporary. It’s fantastically sharp wide open. I use it mainly with a Sony A6600 and MC-11 adapter. Most of the recent shots in my reddit post history were taken with that lens. Love it.

Any other options?

All these comments are just ppl telling you to buy used and only one actually answers your question 😭 I was also considering the a6600 for a while but ended up saving up and preordering a Nikon Z5ii since I’m not gonna do sports all that much. Sony cams would also be better for sports since the auto

Best mirrorless camera for nature photography / backpacking?

I think an APS-C or OM Systems micro 4/3 option could be good. The lens systems are cheaper and lighter weight than full-frame equivalents, but the image quality can easily outperform smartphones, making them good for beginners. All of the cameras I am going to suggest are weather-sealed, which filt

Sony A6600 body at ₹55,000, worth it in 2026 for beginner?

A6600 is a very good camera. Avoid the kit lens. You can also get a7iii or a7c at around 80-85k used. But better buy new a6600. (I like my devices new, sorry). Keep in mind that a6600 is officially discontinued by Sony.

Help me buy me first camera.

Look so here's the deal with your budget. It gets you in but not far. You'll get great images from any of the big systems out there, here's a basic guide: Canon: known for warm colors, but you can't buy cheap lenses as they don't allow em, only official canon lenses available. Sony: colors are not t
