Which setup for wildlife?
Between these two, Z50ii hands down. It’s a newer body, and its AF system with animal/bird detection will blow the a6600 out of the water. As well as video capabilities, should you ever need them. The wildlife lens lineup is superb both on Nikon and Sony, with Nikon having more first party prime opt

Do street photographers just accept confrontation as part of the process?
I shoot street from the hip all the time. I use a Sony A6600 with 24mm f1.4 lens. That translate to a 35mm lens in full frame equivalent. I use continuous auto focus with human eye detection. I also put a circular spirit level on the hot shoe mount. I practice holding the lens in a way that the spir

Should I get the Sony a6600 or a6700 as my first camera?
If your focus is wildlife, the Sony 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 is a better lens (sharper, better AF performance, good optical stabilisation). It's quite an expensive lens (by APS-C standards), but often goes on sale (on Amazon and elsewhere). Maybe get it with a used A6600, to keep within budget, though aut

Any other options?
All these comments are just ppl telling you to buy used and only one actually answers your question 😭 I was also considering the a6600 for a while but ended up saving up and preordering a Nikon Z5ii since I’m not gonna do sports all that much. Sony cams would also be better for sports since the auto

Can Sony Ever Feel Like Fuji?
I don't think that's quite it but maybe a club-handed shorthand? I shoot both sony (a74, a6600, rx100v) and fujifilm X-T5. I like them both and use them differently. The crop sensors are more portable with smaller glass so they are great for travel, either the sony or the fujifilm. I use the full fr

Does the autofocus on A6700 and Fujifilm XT5 have a major significance?
I can't speak for the A6700, or even the XT5, but I have both the A6400 and A6600, and an X100VI. Even though the AF on the 64/6600 is probably a couple of generations out of date now in comparison to newer Sony cameras, they still piss all over my X100VI. The X100VI isn't bad, but it isn't as quick

Which APS-C weather-sealed camera + lens with IBIS and a tilting screen are you buying? (Fuji XT-5 vs Sony a6600)
I own a Sony a6600 but I have used an Fuji X-S10 before. Not exactly an X-T5 but it still has IBIS and I would argue is an even more fair comparison as they are comparably priced and both from about 2020. The Fuji is a solid camera and the JPEG recipes and film simulations are fun and easy to use. B

Switching from digital camera to Pixel 8 Pro?
I love my pixel 9 pro but it can't replace my Sony camera (a6600). Shutterspeed on the pixel 9 pro sucks.. 😢

Family hike landscapes, minature (40k etc) macro budget suggestions?
I'm seeing a6100s used for a bit more than that (on eBay in the US but the listings are China based). Pay a lot of attention to the language, a Chinese market a6100 will only be in Chinese (and Japanese and Korean). The a6100 has some substantial advantages over the G100, the downside would be that

1.If you are looking for a budget, video-first hybrid body, the ZV-E10 isn't a bad option. Just a note on the ZV-E10, the 2nd gen version doesn't have a physical shutter but in return has better video capabilities (improved sensor, better AF, 10-bit colour, etc.) I would also consider getting an use
