Lumix GX9 vs Fujifilm X-E4
Both are great cameras, and the autofocus on either is perfectly usable. That said, it’s not on the level of more modern systems, or even Sony’s APS-C cameras from the same era like the A6300. Ultimately, the decision should come down to the lenses you plan to use, because that will have a big impac

Action cam atau Mirrorless?
Canon mirrorless overpriced sih. Pilihannya antara sony atau fujifilm aja imo. Sony kalo lu prioritasin autofocus. Fuji kalo prioritasin warna. Budget 8jt jujur gak ada yg punya IBIS. Paling stabilisasi di lensanya aja. Opsinya paling: Sony a6300 + 18-105mm Fuji xt20 + 18-55mm Sony zv1 Action cam gw

When should you upgrade your camera?
Age doesn’t really have much to do with it, unless you’re close to the end of the lifespan on a mechanical shutter or mirror assembly and they don’t service it anymore. I amortize my cameras over 5 years and my lenses over 8, but even then only replace gear only if it is worn out (more rare in mirro

Is there anyone who has used both Sony and Olympus cameras?
I have the a6300, a7ii and a7r4. On the Olympus side, I have the OM-1.ii and E-P7. I don't use the kit lens on the Olympus cameras - I mostly use the 12-40/2.8 PRO. The Sony kit lens is shit, and the kit lenses I have for my older Olympus cameras are excellent, and so are samples I've seen online fo

Sony a6700 or fujifilm xs20 for my userprofile?
I moved from Sony a6300 to Fuji xs20. Somehow i dont use fuji jpg styles at all, im used to raw processing (even if i set fuji styles in lightroom). I cant compare but im sure autofocus on 6700 will be better. Colors? Its personal matters, i heard that latest sony sensors are very good for editing a

Secondary camera
If you plan to do paid gigs, even small ones, having a backup body is a good idea. No dual SD slots means if the camera fails, the shoot is over. Clients will not care about excuses. That said, if you are just starting and doing low risk gigs, a second body is not urgent yet. Prioritize reliability,

Undefeated. Gx85+15mm+35-100 2.8
As someone with both M43 and Sony E, Sony E is absolutely not worth it for most people, sure third party lenses are alright but the moment you want a half decent native lens you're screwed with cost, and if you want anything with a fixed aperture better than F4? Sell that kidney. It's so bad that Yo

My wife wants to starts photography as a hobby.
I would rather look at 2nd hand older mirorless - they are much smaller, usually have much better video capabilities, much better AF coverage and they have nice upgrade options (most dslr systems are abandoned so no new cameras, lenses, etc) In that budget you should be able to easily get 2nd hand S

First camera recommendations?
I'd recommend used and from my own experience as a new photographer learning what camera is best, I'd recommend mirrorless, fast-fast-fast autofocus, optical image stabilisation, and access to good lenses. The most important thing is lenses. When you're starting out, 200-300mm is a good length for l

Family hike landscapes, minature (40k etc) macro budget suggestions?
I'm seeing a6100s used for a bit more than that (on eBay in the US but the listings are China based). Pay a lot of attention to the language, a Chinese market a6100 will only be in Chinese (and Japanese and Korean). The a6100 has some substantial advantages over the G100, the downside would be that
