Do you think Lumix will release an S9 with mechanical shutter?

I think with what people want with a new S9 they really actually want an S5C aka Sony A7C

Stuck in upgrade paralysis

Why do you need such great ibis for that use case? I switched from Fuji/sony to Nikon, but I’d probably pick a Sony A7C II or an Fujifilm X-T5 for your use case. The Nikon is much heavier.

Advice to buy in Banglore/Chennai

My advice for any photographer would be to invest more in lenses than the camera body. A camera body will go out of date and depreciate eventually, but a well maintained lens will last you much longer. I assume you're referring to the A7 mark4. It's a good camera. Also consider the A7C mark 2. Which

The ISO conversation is just so dead at this point. Shot at ISO 25600

I went from E-M1 II to OM-1. You'll definitely notice the tighter noise pattern that's pretty appealing- especially when pushing shadows. Speaking of shadows, there's no longer a purple tint and there's actually still some detail behind it, it's relatively neutral. I also have the G9 II and I find t

What would you get next?

Sony rx100 VI for a very capable smaller camera. Sony a7c for a small-ish full frame light camera. Both are fantastic.

GFX-50S vs X-Pro 2

Are you planning to use your old lenses on the X‑Pro2? Keep in mind that its sensor is tiny and the crop factor will make the focal length longer. You’re not going to get those 40mm you want. I’d say you don’t have to stay with Fujifilm, you could try a Sony A7C or another small full‑frame mirrorles

Are Newer Phones Worth It?

my sony a7c ii will take way better pictures than every single phone out there and it's only an entry grade full frame (i bought it because it's compact), now image properly high end full frames and even medium format cameras, phones don't even stand a chance against proper cameras. hell, my old d90

First camera

I’m a Nikon guy and always found their menus to make more sense to me than other brands. I just picked up a Sony A7c ii though and their new menu system seems more intuitive, really enjoying its compact size for a full frame. APS-C is always where people start but if you have an inkling you’ll get m

LUMIX S9 vs Sony A7C2 vs Fuji XT50

To be honest Fuji recipes are the same. They are not universal unless you use something like Reggie's Portra which basically looks like modified Provia which is standard color profile in Fujis world. I didn't like Panasonic LUTs at first but after some play with Magic Lut and adjusting it afterwards

Be really honest, is it getting harder and harder to stick with m43?

No, it's not hard to stick with m43, but it's definitely hard to continue to upgrade bodies when the cost for new OM System cameras is comparable to or higher than many great FF mirrorless cameras from a host of other companies. For the cost of a used OM-3 I opted for a used Sony A7C with a 120 shut
