Absolutely love my fp for stills.. coming from Oly and Fuji. Best UI imo -- for whatever reason, Sigma's menu system clicked with me. Just the right number of buttons (love the placement and customization to obtain the workflow that best works for me). Huge bright LCD screen. i bought the fp (after

It’s a great image maker. Big note, it is more appropriate for capturing stills than the others you’ve listed and comes equipped with some really lovely color profiles. Flexibility. You can add and subtract as much sharpness for any of these profiles as you could with any camera. The issue with a lo

Sigma FP. Outside of cameras, I want everything I own to be both portable and modular. I was turned off by the Fp because of the reviews then I watched the original release commercial for it and was sold lol.

In its minimalism it has great character - especially in times where everything (my iPhone, for example) is overflowing with so much junk you can't find what you need any more. "the feeling os using something that is well made and just works" agree to that. We need that expression of the analog mind

I’d agree with this as someone who owns and uses both. Though my FX3 is an order of magnitude more useful than the Sigma and the kind of things that I’m grabbing. The reason being I can push a lot more out of the FP given I have the proper attachments with me and have time set out for post work. Whi

Hi Former FP & FP L owner here. I've also owned a xt 3. I really like the FP & the FP L. It is very compact and very dense. It is one of the smallest full frame bodies I've come across and when paired with the sigma I series lenses makes for a very portable unit. If you like megapixels the FP L with

Yes you're right, but I'm mainly talking about modern movies. I 100% agree that 2k is enough, but you just won't find a lot of modern cameras that can do this in Raw whilst still offering s35 or larger. Again, sigma fp or bmcc og are your best bets. Maybe bmpcc og as well. I think going 4k and downs

I think that's largely correct, however, do note that unlike the SL, the fp and fp L only have an electronic shutter. I've found that the fp L has especially persistent banding artifacts, even when shooting at a shutter speed in sync with power frequency. fp is not as bad. YMMV Also related to the e

This is the setup I was referring to. If you have the 52 Weeks already, this is the way to go. https://www.reddit.com/r/sigmafp/s/IgL801cM6u

I replied in your other thread and now I saw this one. If you are really into rangefinder style like me then you will dislike Zf I think. I just can't go back to cameras with central EVF that is sticking out and to the ones that are big and heavy. In that case I would go Fuji X-E5 in your place, alt
