I loved my fp-l in every way except AF. Switched to a S9 which has great AF. I miss the absolute minimalism of the sigma. If I had unlimited funds I’d keep one for landscape work but if I added a second camera it’s probably be the s1rii for its middle resolution but also a shutter and EVF.

Indeed. Sigma FP doesn't have the PDAF array for autofocus on its sensor meaning no artefacts from it which can cause grid patterns, flares, etc in certain conditions.

I moved from the BMPCC6K Pro and Sigma FP to an FX3 and A7IV. The FP and 6K Pro both have stronger IQ than the FX3, which is why I originally got them, but I was running into a lot of issues as a solo filmmaker and content creator. Trying to film myself or any subject with non autofocusing cameras w

It’s a great image maker. Big note, it is more appropriate for capturing stills than the others you’ve listed and comes equipped with some really lovely color profiles. Flexibility. You can add and subtract as much sharpness for any of these profiles as you could with any camera. The issue with a lo

I really like the sigma FP, especially with the 45mm 2.8. It’s not great in terms of shutter speed, there is banding when there’s artificial lighting, auto focus isn’t great, no viewfinder stock, no GPS tagging through an app, no easy transfer of photos to your phone. However, I like the form factor

The Sigma FP has internal RAW recording since many updates ago, you just need high-speed SD cards (I'm actually shooting 12-bit internal RAW with some v60 cards and it works fine). Coming from a Magic Lantern 5D MKII, it feels like a nice upgrade to me. No more fighting with Magic Lantern randomly r

I recommend YouTube. I spent a lot of time interested in Sigmas, FP, FPl, the new one. It seems to me almost entirely everyone I watch that even start out loving it moves on and has a lot of complaints.

The Sigma FP is a great camera, I'd stick with it for a while longer if you can.

Hi! I have just bought my second Sigma FP. Its a great camera. The first time, although I knew what I was buying, I tried to make It a versatile camera. And it is not such a thing. I immediately regreted. I also shoot fuji professionally for stills and video on a X-h2s. I didn't pretend to shoot wit

I've been really struggling with the decision of what newer camera to buy. I had a bad experience with Sony and Nikon Z, because I am so spoiled by the colors and contrast of my CCD DSLR collection — especially the Pentax 645D — and my Sigma fp. Ergonomics are important (hate menus), and I need real
