Why is my monitor doing this?

Not all VA panels are equal, though. My recommendation is, always check for reviews (thorough ones that show response time measurements), and don't count out VA panels from the get go. For example I have a Lenovo Y34wz-30. And it does have some smearing on lower refresh rates, but at 165 Hz it's ver

What is currently the best mini led Monitor

ASUS PG32UQX and BenQ Mobiuz EX321UX for 32" IPS. Both use the same panel that ASUS uses in their professional ProArt PA32UCG-K monitor. Insanely good monitors. I have a PG32UQX and I love it. Check Rtings review on the BenQ to see all the specs. The Samsung 32" Neo G7 and Neo G8 are VA panels, chec

Samsungs upcoming 5k2k LCD Monitor

I don't think it will, haven't seen it mentioned in any announcement. If it had a mini LED backlight they would certainly advertise it as such. Edit: it's DisplayHDR 600 certified, which almost certainly means it is edge lit. That's a pass from me 😔 https://tftcentral.co.uk/news/samsung-odyssey-g7-w

Switched from 4K VA to 2k OLED… wow.

Thinking of doing the same. Currently using the 4k Samsung Odyssey Neo G7, but wanting to go to the 27inch 1440p MSI OLED.

Thinking I’m going insane

This happened to me. Had a g7 odyssey for 3 years and just switched to a flat OLED panel, looked really weird for a view days

Ps5 Pro (mx2games]

To get the benefits of a ps5 pro you need a 4k 120hz monitor with hdmi2.1 support. Cheapest you can get is a gigabyte m28u for 36k. I personally use a Samsung odyssey g7 which is approx 45k.

Those who came from expensive VA/IPS monitors - did OLED really impress you when you got it?

I had a G7 Odyssey before switching, which for those of you who don't know, is Samsung's most expensive 16:9 VA panel. If it wasn't for a few issues and Samsung denying warranty, I probably wouldn't have switched. The colors were legitimately on par with my new OLED, contrast was quite good too. Tru

Horizontal lines have appeared on the bottom part of my monitor

The g7 Odyssey is quite prone to failure, it has pretty bad QC

Best comparison of IPS and VA that I found

Samsung Odyssey G7 Neo. Works like a charm and has really good contrast. Only issues is very slight ghosting in some games.

45" 5k2k vs the upcoming 39" 5k2k

I have the Odyssey G7 40" 5k2k ultrawide and the 1000R curve is as much curve as I want, at least for productivity. For gaming I'm sure 800R is fine
