Why is my monitor doing this?
Not all VA panels are equal, though. My recommendation is, always check for reviews (thorough ones that show response time measurements), and don't count out VA panels from the get go. For example I have a Lenovo Y34wz-30. And it does have some smearing on lower refresh rates, but at 165 Hz it's ver

Can modern MiniLED actually replace OLED for dark room gaming?
The local dimming algorithm is arguably more important than the zone count. Most external monitors, except the Apple Studio XDR, have such bad local dimming in SDR that it's better turned off there. And turning it off means it looks exactly like an edge-lit LCD. TVs usually have much better algorith

VA monitor with no black smearing
1080p philips evnia 25m2n3200w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZYZpU4Tx6Y lenovo legion r25f-30 https://www.youtube.com/shorts/KwVGzdoMsYo those two are the best 1080p VA panels, using them at 240hz will get you minimal ghosting and using them at 120hz will eliminate ghosting 1440p the only option

Rumor claims Samsung Display is preparing 24-inch and 39-inch QD-OLED panels for 2027
27 inch is perfect for me. I have bad eyes though. Running the original Samsung odyssey g7 1440p curved monitor. It’s a VA panel so doesn’t have the asscheeks IPS bleed. Its response time is high enough I don’t have issues playing comp.

Best comparison of IPS and VA that I found
Samsung Odyssey G7 Neo. Works like a charm and has really good contrast. Only issues is very slight ghosting in some games.

Looking for Top of the line, NON OLED monitor money can buy.
As long as it's centered as viewing angles are horrible, I can vouch for the Neo G7 32".- a 4k MiniLED VA. It's not like the cheap VAs that will black smear. There's also a 240hz Neo G8 but it has scanline issues, because this panel can't handle 240hz properly, and has some horrible greasy ultramatt

Monitor has a ton of motion blur
Yeah first monitor i bought was like this. VA, MSI 32". blacks left a massive trail behind them. Then i got an Odyssey G7 which is still VA in theory but pixel response time is literally perfect. Never had an issue again

Best Gaming Monitor To Get In 2026? (Price & Refresh Rate)
If its for console anything above 120hz is a waste since consoles can only output that much fps unless you’re gonna get a pc. 144hz monitor price range is what you wanna look for if you’re just gonna be a console gamer, id start there I use a 32” SAMSUNG Odyssey G7 it has everything you need 4K Ultr

Xiaomi launches six monitors led by Mini LED G Pro 27Qi 2026
Yeah, I got you. A VA has extremely poor viewing angles and should only be viewed straight on. I personally got no problem with that. I wonder if you're just very sensitive to motion clarity. I have an S95B right next to the Neo G7, game on both, and yeah, the S95B has better motion clarity, but not

Framegen with fps cap, far below the refreshrate
Maybe I'm going a bit offtopic here, but I have a Samsung Neo G7 32" 4k 165hz MiniLED VA monitor. This monitor is probably among the most VRR-flickery panels you could ever find. For a long time I thought GSync was impossible to use in general, as the flickering was driving me crazy. I ran it withou
