OLED vs Glossy Mini-LED — My Experience After Owning and Returning Multiple OLED Monitors (Version 2)

I think I said it in your other post too, but if you get an S95F in there, it would blow any MiniLED out of the water. Heck, maybe even an S90F. You liked your QN90C better than an LG C series because OLED TVs below 55" behave a lot closer to monitors in terms of brightness than their larger variant

Miniled ultrawide comparison and why local dimming algorithm is important

Yep, the dimming algorithm is way more important than the number of zones itself. I have a Samsung Odyssey neo G7 and it works very well, and from what I heard the TCL algorithm is also quite good. Plus VA has the advantage of high native intrazone contrast which helps a lot with the blooming.

How The Heck Do You Pick One Of These Things...

I wouldn’t go OLED personally. You can maybe expect 3 years of burn-in warranty, and then beyond that you can safely expect some degree of burn-in, whether that manifests as faint vertical lines on your screen in spots where you routinely pin windows, or wherever you have static content. For me, any

Best comparison of IPS and VA that I found

Samsung Odyssey G7 Neo. Works like a charm and has really good contrast. Only issues is very slight ghosting in some games.

Difference between VA Mini LED vs IPS Mini LED?

I disagree with this notion, while local dimming is enabled they will be similar, there are going to be many instances where you can't use local dimming. Like websites and YouTube. Because the blooming will be pretty noticeable. With a good VA like the Odyssey neo g7/g8 the contrast ratio will be hi

HDR in DLSS 4.5 Preset M - night and day difference, compared to preset K

VA native contrast is fantastic. My Odyssey G7 still looks great next to my OLED monitor (except when showing darker elements). IPS native contrast is trash though.

Mini LED or OLED monitor?

Cheap VAs are ass and have terrible ghosting. High-end (or even just higher-end/we-spent-all-our-money-on-the-panel VAs) like the TCL stuff, Samsung Neo G7, or AOC Q27G40XMN are IMO better all-rounder displays than most IPS options at their price range unless you're doing professional color work and

Looking for Top of the line, NON OLED monitor money can buy.

As long as it's centered as viewing angles are horrible, I can vouch for the Neo G7 32".- a 4k MiniLED VA. It's not like the cheap VAs that will black smear. There's also a 240hz Neo G8 but it has scanline issues, because this panel can't handle 240hz properly, and has some horrible greasy ultramatt

TCL 27R94 Mini-LED review after two months

I did yes. I loved that monitor and it's still one of my favorites. I jumped on the OLED hype train like most when the 4K models first released. However, once I started working from home more, I regretted it, as they aren't as friendly for WFH. In comparison to the Neo G7. The local dimming is bette

Picked up a pro last night

Preciate it! I’m using a Samsung odyssey neo g7 43’’. 4k 144hz mini led, no an oled but the colors pop and the blacks are super dark, definitely eye candy in my opinion
