My DXP 4800 Pro just arrived 😍

Pretty sure it is more than triple for some brands. 😵‍💫 Crazy. I got 4TB of Samsung 990 Pro NVMe in 2024 for $260 and the same brand right now is almost $1100 (4x).

The joy of having a 2tb SSD 😄

I bought a Samsung 990 Pro 4TB NVME before the price hike for £250. The same one today is £625. I feel sorry for anyone looking to buy one in today's market.

My first pc for the next 5 to 10 years hopefully ($2100 USD)

No need to get a samsung 990 pro ssd you can get a cheaper one with barelly any difference with that money you should be able to either get an used rx9070xt or get a better motherboard. A motherboard upgrades are mentally bad. Also no need for a 150€ cooler an regular 70€ is as good

Need a sanity check before shop day this weekend. 9800X3D vs 9950X3D, Gen 4 vs Gen 5 SSD, X870 vs X870E, thermal paste.

IDK what your options are, but... RAM: Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5 6000 CL30 If you can get something cheaper, anything that's 6000-6400 MT/s with CL 36 or below is good. You can probably get something equivalent or 99% as good for $100-250 cheaper. Case Fans: Arctic Cooling P12 Pro aRGB Bl

Upgrading the SSD in my XPS 15 9520

i feel you on wanting more space. the XPS 15 9520 only has one M.2 slot, so you'd have to replace your 1TB drive. both those options work but the Samsung 990 Pro is overkill for that machine since it's PCIe 4.0 but the laptop runs at 3.0 speeds. honestly the Crucial P3 4TB is plenty fast and costs l

What’s the best SSD for gaming?

anyone know why they're all expensive currently? I'm looking for a 2TB ssd thats normal. I know for gaming it doesnt make much difference but they're overpriced right now. The WD Black SN850X 2TB NVMe is $369.99 on bestbuy and $399.99 on amazon. At that point might as well go Gen 5 no? Even if they'
