I’m working on a big Linux distro + other stuff project using my Samsung 990 Pro in a JEYI chassis and ran into some overheating issues. Took the back plate off, added some heating pads, and a little extra cooling piece that definitely isn’t overkill lol. What do you guys think?

Sziasztok,
EMAG forgalmaz ilyen SSD-ket.

I ordered a Samsung 990 Pro 4TB from Amazon Warehouse (resale), but after installing, it showed as a 1TB 980 in BIOS and Samsung Magician. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the 980 had fewer chips and a slightly different PCB color.
Since this came from Amazon Warehouse, it’s likely someone swapped

There's something fishy going on because Samsung removed the firmware(6B2QJXD7) they released in June from their website for the 990 Pro. They're not telling us something...

I would do a remastered Morrowind. At the same time, I’d like to see Oblivion Remastered made less choppy. I’m playing it on a laptop, but it’s an i9-13900H with 32GB of RAM, a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro, and an RTX 4090 mobile and I have to set it down to Medium at 1920x1200 and it’s still choppy.

Yes, Samsung changed their naming scheme with the 980 Pro in 2020, quietly switching from MLC to TLC while still charging similar prices to what they charged for previous MLC Pro drives. They quietly axed the Evo line at the same time, because with the Pro line using TLC there was no way to differen

Hey everyone,
I'm hitting a wall with my Lenovo LOQ (15AHP10) and a simple SSD upgrade that has turned into a nightmare.

Either way most end users aren't updating their firmware. Samsung's 990 Pro? Incident was a mess and you could point to a single Manufacturer/Model. Getting people to update that have no clue what SSD they even have or if it's one of the affected models would be practically impossible.
