I can’t find any brand new pcie 3.0 drives, the one other drive that I’ve found are pcie 4.0: p310 (£140) and 990 evo plus(£125). But these options don’t come with dram, which even with limited speeds, may provide better performance when running vms. So I’m still leaning more towards the t500.

Fair comparison between 8GB RAM and 32GB, when the prior comments were about 16GB and 24GB vs 32. Obviously 8 is going to struggle regardless of OS. Between my 990 evo plus and whatever silicon the Mac uses, only one of my operating systems takes 2 seconds for the start menu to show up, or for the c
