SSD prices have tripled in 3 years
In 2023 there was a surplus of SSDs and were very cheap. Took advantage to buy a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB for around $60. It isn't available anymore, but I bet it'll cost over $200 if it was today. AI ruined everything.

Prices are just crazy. A downside rarely mentioned: it creates room for counterfeits, both in the public market as in the private (second hand) market. So watch your back and double, triple and quadruple check when you think you found a good deal, be it retail or the second hand market. Looking for
