Looks like Thinkpad L14, Lenovo’s “budget” Thinkpad will cost the same as Framework Laptop 13 Pro for identical CPU, SSD and RAM specs.

Storage prices are absolutely insane and that's even in the lens of modern RAM pricing trends. I was at Micro Center last week and saw a 2.5" Samsung 870 Evo 4tb for $2070.

Samsung 870 EVO sees another ~50% price increase shortly after they already increased prices 100% on Samsung.com!

Just bought a 4TB 870 Evo on Amazon for a client for ~$1,250. Felt like I was paying with my actual skin.

Sandisk is launching new SATA SSDs in 2026 because NVMe prices are out of control

🤣 SATA SSDs are out of control too. Microcenter sells a 2tb Samsung 870 for $1,039 USD 💀 https://www.microcenter.com/product/632086/samsung-870-evo-2tb-ssd-3-bit-mlc-v-nand-sata-iii-6gb-s-25-internal-solid-state-drive

4TB 990 EVO Plus on Amazon right now for £525, but that 2.5” 4TB 870 EVO is up for £839. That’s just wild, what the hell.

Kingston shipped 100 million A400 SSDs and SATA still refuses to die

Once pricing falls again, it'll be great to have a big SSD expansion, especially when you have no more m.2, that isn't their awful QVO drives. (Which I have one of. It's great but also oof.) Then again, before prices went boom, we did finally start getting 8TB M.2 that were also starting to approach

Exactly. Seagate's 4tb 2.5 HDD is over TEN TIMES cheaper than Samsung's 4tb 870 EVO. At least there is still an option for cheap bulk storage.

NVIDIA RTX Spark laptops may start above $1,799, N1X systems reportedly above $2,899

I don't know if people have looked at laptop prices lately, but they are out of control in general. Heck, SSD storage prices alone are starting to become absurd. The 4tb Samsung 870 Evo that I bought for $200 in 2023 is now $1,349.99 from the official Samsung store on Amazon. The AI bubble can't bur

Louis Rossmann is suing Samsung after firm offers $330 refund for defective SSD while selling the drives on Amazon for $949 — spat over 4TB 990 Pro SSD is headed to court

The same Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SSD that I bought in fall of 2024 for $170 is now $499 at Amazon. Insanity

Jonsbo CB80 - Another dual tower cooler that (just barely) fits in the NR200

Respectfully, in the real world he may only see 1-2% of a performance loss with the gpu with PCIE3. For storage SATA SSDs are arguably more than fast enough for the vast majority of games to where there is pretty much no difference between a NVME or SATA and more than fast enough for anything else o
