My best keyboard purchase ever, seriously. Only $39.

It has unofficial VIA support and violates the QMK GPL license. The code available is only for the wired-only version. The reason people are downvoting is that the company uses open source resources and doesn't give anything back. According to the QMK, Royal Kludge license compliance status is: "PRs

What's a stupid purchase that made you buy a more expensive one?

Get a Royal Kludge keyboard with tri-mode. Really convenient.

Want to find a keyboard that feels like the Keychron K10 HE

Royal kludge has some good ones you might like Check out the R98 series. Has RGB, gasket mounted, hot swappable, wireless option, double shot pbt keycaps so they durable, pre lubed linear cream switches, and they feel really nice. A couple guys in my office use then and I got the chance to test them

Discussion: The entry-level mechanical keyboard market is confusing

RGB is just there as a feature if you want it. It's more for backlighting effects than for actually reading the legends in the dark. Most boards are south facing, meaning that the LED is at the bottom of the switch as this is the correct way to mount a Cherry MX switch. Most shine through keycaps ha

Surface pro mechanical keyboard case

As long as you have a table to stand-up the tablet, you just put your keyboard in front. Should be fine. I got a Royal Kludge keyboard which can be used wired or wireless, and they have some smaller sizes. Heavy as lead, but hey, if you want your mechanical keyboard, you can do it. Your fellow stude

full sized bluetooth keyboard 30 - 80 Euro

i was hunting for something similar last month. the Logitech K580 fits most of this - battery lasts forever and toggles between devices easily. for something more mechanical, the Keychron K10 is a bit above budget but worth the stretch. the Royal Kludge RK100 sits right in the middle and has that 2.

Confliction opinions on mechanical keyboards

Cheapest keyboard i ever bought was a rosewill fully mechanical with cherry red switches. Insanely loud and plastic. Zero sound absorbing or foam of any kind. Worked great though lol. Went with a non mechanical razer ornata chroma after that for $40. Was the mechamembrane aka a membrane keyboard wit

Advice + Recs?

I’d look at the Royal Kludge RK61 Mechanical Keyboard or the Redragon K617 Fizz. Both are solid budget 60% boards and pretty common starter picks. RK61 is nice because it’s hot-swappable and some versions are wireless. The K617 is cheaper and simple but still good for gaming. If you think you’ll mis
