This. I got a mechanical keyboard secondhand from my elder sister, a Royal Kludge keyboard. It's considered a budget mechanical keyboard (but still quite expensive for me imo), so it's not the best. It's seen better days, but when a key suddenly stopped working, I just changed the switches to fix it

All this super cheap stuff is garbage really. There's no such thing as a free lunch. Just not worth it. It's just e-waste... or as you've found out, far worse than that. [edit]... the thing is, people have been giving this advice for years... no one listens.

Unfortunately, they have perhaps the worst reputation for reliability of any mechanical keyboard brand, ever. So bad it became a meme. Even the name is trolling you. Sorry... don't shoo

Royal Kludge keyboards are absolute garbage. I had one but the number row stopped working after like a year. There are also numerous reports of their wireless keyboard batteries exploding. To top it all off, they violate the QMK license by failing to provide their source code on request.

Open box means it was opened and returned. Maybe some light use. My Galaxy 100 was used from Amazon, but basically brand new. The Monsgeek looked like it was brand new, as well. Before upgrading to the keyboard I have now. I use my trusty Royal Kludge keyboard. Its very reliable for me and lasted so long. Tbh it still works and functioning I just wanted an upgrade so i suggest sticking to RK

I would look at the Royal Kludge keyboards. They made me like them more than the Keychron keyboards in terms of overall key quality, especially the keycaps. espacio.
