Stable Frigate with Reolink Elite Pro PoE (Floodlight) setup with Coral – sharing config & looking for advice

Comments/questions… I think #video=copy#audio=copy are default when you use ffmpeg with go2rtc streams. Why not record the main stream as they’re higher quality? Granted if disk space conservation is key, then using ext stream makes sense. I recently started using latest go2rtc binary (check docs on

Reolink or Ubiquiti unifi Cameras?

Reolink are meant more to be used in urban areas with tons of lighting at night. This is because Reolink IR night vision models do not have very good performance at night (this might change eventually with a new professional models they might release this year, also Elite xPro beats the G6 180° IMO)

Driveway alarm

You need a PoE camera with perimeter protection. If you still want to remain with Reolink, I think there's already a handful that have been updated with that feature and the newer models have that as well. Look for CX820/CX810 (if you have great lighting at night in the whole area), all professional

Confused with what camera we need, battery, wifi, poe, 1080/2k/4k etc, just for our residential property? I was considering 1080p main front camera, possibly PoE or USB powered.

OP, only models that have perimeter protection from Reolink are CX820, CX810 (with firmware update), Duo 3 (with firmware update), Floodlight Elite PoE and professional models. The rest don't have this feature. You can't use CX models if your lighting sucks or is pitch black at night btw. Because th

Help Positions Cameras

Swap 811a for 810a, there is no reason to have the 811a at all because the only difference is the 811a model has 5x optical zoom. You don't need zoom for those areas, unless you really plan on zooming somewhere each camera (It is not autozoom, reolink does not have any model that has autozoom btw).

If you’re stuck on eufy vs ring vs arlo, this is the order I’d think about it

I started with a Ring video doorbell in 2017. Last year I moved to PoE Reolink cameras with BlueIris as the NVR (I also have a Reolink 8 NVR but it's just a backup NVR and extra PoE switch). This month I bought a UniFi Cloud Gateway Max and one UniFi camera to test if I want to pay more to move into

At some point you just turn them off ...

You can use the app. The type of motion detection depends on your camera's capabilities. For example, the Cx810 detects animals, cars, and people, while the doorbell detects ringing and people. The older unit, like E1, only detects motion. The limitation with the app is only one detection rule; you

What brand of security cameras would fit me

Reolink professional models + CX models (particularly CX820 - only use this one in areas with great lighting at night) + reolink professional NVR. Default models from Reolink do not have activity/detection zones. Only those models I mentioned have that. Except for Duo 3 with firmware update, cx810 w

2 cameras 1 NVR system - which one would you go for?

G6 smokes the duo, if you are looking for better performance. Reolink is good, it excels at daytime but you have 2 issues with that 180° camera. It stretches the image and you lose quality, also Reolink IR night vision models suffer from a lot of ghosting with objects in movement at night. Detection

First CCTV system, reolink p330 from Costco. Anything I'm missing?

CX820/CX810 but you need to have very good lighting all around because those are color night vision cameras. You will still get some ghosting tho, so it is not like super clear capture of a face at night if that makes sense, unless the person is not moving at all. You can definitely also tell what a
