Ditching ring immediately - suggestions ?
Pretty sure reolink is well regarded, unless you are in the ipcamtalk forums... I use Reolink, it is simple but does the job. It is the budget choice really. But if you are going with Blue Iris then you don't really have to limit only to this brand. The best models from this are CX810/CX820 and CX41

HOME SECURITY SUGGESTION - LOREX OR REOLINK
Budget build Reolink; their CX410 performs better at night than the CX810. If you have a bit of money to spend, Empire Tech 1.2 CMOS, annke nc800 cameras are a viable option. The S4 Max kit is also a good choice. However, if your budget is $500 or less, I recommend opting for the Reolink CX410 serie

Reolink or Ubiquiti unifi Cameras?
Agree with this, gotta say there are some reolink model with 1/1.8" sensors with 2k/4k res that, more or less, should be a good option for the price sold (~100€ in europe). Like CX810/CX820, too bad they seem to be missing IR

Simple yet stellar 2 IP POE Cameras setup
For 400 I'd just go for a pair of Reolink CX810 and their NVR and call it a day. We use that to cover a big campus and they work great. This is the camera stream taking a video in pitch black room. The only source is a small light in the football yard (the big white glow at the door). The yard is no

Confused with what camera we need, battery, wifi, poe, 1080/2k/4k etc, just for our residential property? I was considering 1080p main front camera, possibly PoE or USB powered.
OP, only models that have perimeter protection from Reolink are CX820, CX810 (with firmware update), Duo 3 (with firmware update), Floodlight Elite PoE and professional models. The rest don't have this feature. You can't use CX models if your lighting sucks or is pitch black at night btw. Because th

Best Budget CCTV Security Cameras
Reolink is the budget brand, OP. It is likely the cheapest brand that will do the job (decently) if you are from North America or Europe. You can't use color night vision cameras if the area you want surveil doesn't have great lighting all around at night. For color night vision look for CX820, CX81

Smart my new place for 2026
Eh, you'll have to refer me to the video with Ubiquiti winning anything at The Hook Up, all the comparison videos I remember watching from him the Ubiquiti cams did not finish well. All my network is Ubiquiti but I have not been impressed with the price/performance of their cameras objectively. POE

Help Starting A Basic Reolink Security System
I have my PoE cameras (front porch and above garage) and NVR in the garage connected to a mesh router point (ASUS Zen Wifi AX). I have one ASUS main router BE-98Pro, and 2 additional mesh access points (including the one in the garage). I also have a PoE switch out there. It works pretty well. Since

POE Security Camera Suggestions?
Ubiquiti used to be an overpriced brand with not so good performance some months ago but that was until they released the G6 models which are priced accordingly, they have good specs and they perform well. The G6 models beat anything sub $200 USD per camera. This includes Reolink (which for me is th
