What is the best ereader in 2025?

“The best” is very, very, VERY subjective in this field - what is best for one person will not be something another person would ever consider. A couple of points to start from: You want colour and mangas - that narrows the field down somewhat. I don’t read manga but from what I can tell, most peopl

Smartphone-less set-up at work

PocketBook InkPad Color 3. Colors aren't vibrant, they look like printed on a newspaper, but it allows me to read comics on the go and that's enough for me. It weights more than other ereaders, tho, so it's really unpleasant to have it fall on one's face when reading in bed.

Trying to decide on upgrade from a dying Kobo Clara HD

My first e-reader is a Kobo Clara HD (6 inch, 300 ppi) that I got second hand for 20 bucks last year. It's served me well but the battery is pretty much toast; it completely dies once it reaches around 85% and then takes over a day to recharge and goes through a factory reset, so I basically have to

Pocketbook doesn't need KOReader

I have the opposite experience. I have a Kobo Libra 2 and a Pocketbook Inkpad Colour 3. I never understood the Koreader hype when I only had the Kobo. Pocketbook for me is unusable with its stock UI. I was actually going to sell it before putting Koreader on it. Bizarrely it’s super sluggish if you

Viwoods e reader colour.

If you need colour for images, then perhaps. If you read mostly text, then stick to black and white. I have a PocketBook InkPad Colour 3. The colour screen is alright, but black and white eReaders are just much better for reading at the current state of eInk technology.

Pocketbook vs Kobo & Kindle

I own a Pocketbook Inkpad Color 3 and I love my device. I had in the past Kindle for many years and my wife has a Kobo, so I know other brands very well. Pocketbook devices have good quality and the software works without problems. The best thing is that with the Pocketbook app you can sync your boo

Choosing my first pb

This gets a bit complicated, especially If you never had used a colour and a black & white ereader. And especially because returning a device will just cause hassles I guess. You should first decide if you want a colour ereader or a black and white one. This is not just about colour yes/no. The only

Pocketbook Inkpad One Questions

In actual use, so when reading an epub/PDF, I would not call PocketBooks sluggish. It's more (or can be) the overall usage. And while e.g. Kobos are definetly faster in epubs, at least compared to a Kobo Clara BW (and way faster via kepub-conversion), PocketBooks are double as fast in PDF compared t

Color e-reader recs for manga/comics?

For manga and comics, screen size is king anything under 7 inches feels cramped for panels and spreads. The PocketBook InkPad Color 3 gets my vote for its 7.8" display and decent color pop without being too pricey, though E Ink color is still nowhere near LCD vibrant, so temper expectations if you'r

PocketBook vs Kobo vs Kindle (real opinions only)

Kindle and Pocketbook Ease of use -> I want to say Kindle is easier to use but that's probably a bias since I started with Kindle first. Pocketbook isn't harder to use, just sometimes I have problems remembering what gestures get me where since Kindle is so deeply ingrained. I will say the filtering
