My first e-reader is a Kobo Clara HD (6 inch, 300 ppi) that I got second hand for 20 bucks last year. It's served me well but the battery is pretty much toast; it completely dies once it reaches around 85% and then takes over a day to recharge and goes through a factory reset, so I basically have to

I own a Pocketbook Inkpad Color 3 and I love my device. I had in the past Kindle for many years and my wife has a Kobo, so I know other brands very well. Pocketbook devices have good quality and the software works without problems. The best thing is that with the Pocketbook app you can sync your boo

This gets a bit complicated, especially If you never had used a colour and a black & white ereader. And especially because returning a device will just cause hassles I guess. You should first decide if you want a colour ereader or a black and white one. This is not just about colour yes/no. The only

I have been using PocketBook InkPad Color 3 for more than a year. The device is great, especially if you really need the color screen. Also, I have a newer and lighter Boox Go 7 with BW screen. PocketBook feels more consisted and polished device. Yes, it offers way less features than Boox and slower

Especially because the InkPad Color 3 is anything but cheap (to mess with it and hope it works at the end). I am somewhat fine with the 32GB of my InkPad 4 and just move stuff on it occasionally when needed, you still get weeks of reading with that "much" space. My manga collection just gets bigger

Thanks for the detailed review. I like my PocketBooks as well. I have a PocketBook Color and the first InkPad Color that came out and both take a micro SD card which is a feature that is important to me in e-readers since I have a huge collection of books already. I like the Pocketbooks for the long

Oh yea, while I myself really don't care about the whiteness (I prefer that my device is not as white as real paper, i have sensitive eyes), the whiteness could play a huge role for some users for the overall appearance of the device (and the paperlike-ness look). I looked up the device you mentione

No, no huge differences, but there should definitely be some. Colours are calibrated differently on the different devices, at least between the different device manufacturers (the panel themself itself is as i've told you the same). But speed-wise all devices could be more or less the same, at least
