pocketbook verse (pro) vs clara bw vs other recs?

Verse Lite is just a worse Verse, just forget about it (smaller battery, no buttons, no SD card slot, no warm colour temperature, also not waterproof - as the standard Verse isn't). Portablility: all devices in discussion are 6" devices, there's no difference in portability (Kobo Clara BW is slightl

Why do you like buttons?

Many reasons actually: Makes the ereader easier to hold because there is a lot of space around the buttons. I have the PocketBook Era 700 I can do it with one hand I don't have to move my hand or fingers to change a page, just click My screen remains very clean and I don't have to move my finger ove

What features would you want in the next PocketBook device?

Quality build like Pocketbook Era with 8" flush glass screen with buttons on the SIDE, like Kobo Sage. Or another Era 7" style device, I'm good either way. If you go 8", I'm not against a flush Mobius screen to help with weight. Carta 1300 BW screen. Quicker processing (RAM/CPU). Retain built-in spe

A slow news day apparently - ereaders are no longer necessary

lol wow. They are more necessary than ever. Since getting a Pocketbook Era 700 , I read more books than ever. Very easy on the eyes, especially outside, especially paired with 1.0 reading glasses (I am 46) it is absolutely amazing, the clarity and sharpness. Also, it is a dedicated physical device,

It's been an expensive 6 months since leaving Kindle

Growing up in school I hated reading. None of the required reading books ever did anything for me, so I rarely actually read them. But that all changed in 2011 when I got a Kindle Keyboard and found out I could read books that I actually liked. It's been wondering and I've been singing the praises o

Returning my Kobo Libra colour

I have a couple different color ereaders and have not experienced stray color pixels all over the screen. But you may just be describing how the β€œSceen Door” effect looks to you. Either way, it’s probably best that you returned it. If you liked the form factor of having page turn buttons on the side

Thinking to return my Kobo Libra Colour and get a Pocketbook Era BW, but I really need advice first...

I don't own a Libra Colour, I have a Kobo Sage, which is heavier. I also own a Kindle 7" Oasis. The Pocketbook is heavier than the Kindle, but I still really like it. Obviously, I also handle an 8" Sage regularly, so YMMV. But I'm a senior citizen who broke both wrists in a fall as recently as 2018.

pocketbook verse (pro) vs clara bw vs other recs?

I am active here on this sub since around when getting my first Verse about a year ago, so there have to be a couple of comments by me πŸ˜… But honestly I first thought a couple of seconds if I even want to reply, since I already wrote a couple of comments regarding Kobo Clara vs. Verse (Pro) - but you

First time buyer, what should I get for reading books and manga with koreader?

Generally spoken, for novels & manga you should get a b/w device, since the current colour technology has disadvantages, especially regarding b/w content. 8" b/w InkPad 4, KOReader is very easy to install. Additionally there's the b/w 7" PocketBook Era, but I would recommend to buy at least an 8" de
