Why do you like buttons?

Many reasons actually: Makes the ereader easier to hold because there is a lot of space around the buttons. I have the PocketBook Era 700 I can do it with one hand I don't have to move my hand or fingers to change a page, just click My screen remains very clean and I don't have to move my finger ove...

Finally getting rid of my kindle

Pocketbook brand is the best IMO. Especially for ease of side loading. You can send ANY book to your device. Takes epub, mobi, FB2, .PDF. and like 24 more. I have an Era and a Touch HD3

It's been an expensive 6 months since leaving Kindle

Growing up in school I hated reading. None of the required reading books ever did anything for me, so I rarely actually read them. But that all changed in 2011 when I got a Kindle Keyboard and found out I could read books that I actually liked. It's been wondering and I've been singing the praises o...

My first ereader

So glad to see more people trying Pocketbook eReaders. I have been preaching their greatness for years now. Can't understand why they aren't more popular with the ease of how to put any books on it at all. No ads. I think they're great. I have had about all of them but now I am down to the Era and t...

FIGHT ME FRIDAY

it's a terrible error because EVERYONE has caught it. this is not like a bad run of books with pages out of order (very common in the pocket paper book era) or a spelling error /obscure grammatical error. i rarely agree with the "they need better editors" complaints as the people making those claims...

PLEASE give me a big "yes" or a big "no" on some of the devices I'm considering

As someone who’s used Kindles, Pocketbook and is now on a Kobo I’d take a closer look at Pocketbook over Kobo. It is really the most flexible with file formats, it can actually run pdf’s and epubs with no issue. Kobo is technically “”compatible”” with epub for example, but it’s pretty much required ...

Can I live with the Paperwhite or should go for the Pocketbook Era

I've spent the last 2 months testing multiple ereaders, with Pocketbook Era (both color and BW) and the Kindle Signature Edition being the main candidates. Screen quality - I had to change my Era 3 times to arrive at an acceptable quality unit. The screen is sidelid, meaning there will be a gradient...

Open source reader?

Yeah, the software isn't open-source but it's quite open. The menus on my PocketBook Era are indeed slower than my old Oasis, but it's still very much usable. It's not noticeable at all when reading, which is what you're likely doing 99% of the time anyway.

Libby user looking for E reader

I have a kobo Clara bw and a pocketbook era color and both have Libby access. Pocketbook allows for more than one library card but kobo only allows one without a work around. I do find I don’t even use Libby on the kobo because it’s not the best on mine for some reason and instead I just use the app...
