Are there landscape photographers here using m43?
OM isn't 'the poorest system' for landscapes. That's a narrow mindset of the uninformed (usually FF shooters who've never used M43 and go by specs). It's extremely difficult to tell the difference between 11 or 12 stops in a print (for example). The difference is more in the operator than the gear.

Why is it that nobody ever mentions any camera but olympus?
Few factors : - Lumix has always been a bit of a video-centric brand, ever since the GH1 released. Most of why peop[le bought Lumix cameras for was very often the excellent video specs compared to the price point, and not really their photo capabilities (which are still good) - Olympus has a HUGE ba

Help choosing a lens
Tbf, telephoto/wildlife was Olympus’ (now OM systems) main selling point for their M43 platform. They made damn sure their higher end telephoto and supertelephoto lenses were tack sharp. Their pro super teles easily compete with Nikon and Canon. Panasonic focus mostly on video, while Leica focus on

Moving from Sony to either Fuji or OM....the OM-3 seems to have everything I want, but....the "Fuji color" and other features are making me second guess
I would consider renting both cameras with a flagship lens and testing them out for yourself. I’d get the OM-3 with the 12-40mm 2.8 Pro to test out OM System

Is M43 Really That Rare? (Discussion)
I have been going on photowalks in Seattle area for past couple of years and I always see a bunch of m43 cameras in there. I think most people there do have a second or third system (FF or APSC) but since photowalks are casual and mostly focused on street photography, many people prefer to bring the

Is this the right time to buy a m43 system?
First of all, this isn’t targeted at you, OP. I may let out a bit of frustration here because these posts are every other day. You just caught me with some time to rant. I never understood the “M43 is dead” argument. I’m not saying it’s impossible, I just don’t understand the criteria. The fundament

OM-3 or A6700 for travel?
Between OM-3 and A6700 for mounting on a backpack strap, I would pick OM-3 due to weather sealing and smaller lens set. But if I knew I would carry my camera mounted on a backpack strap and I would not need an EVF, then I would pick an Olympus E-P7 with Oly 14-42mm EZ or Pana 12-35 for day/outdoors

SOOC Jpegs from the Olympus Pen F, settings included
only on cameras with the Color dial. Which only 3 cameras have so far; the pen f, E-p7, and OM3. A shame really because they should have it on all of their cameras imo. Fuji is making bank on the film sim craze but OM systems are limiting it to only 3 of their cameras(2 of which are already 10 years

OM System Now Majority Owned By Former Olympus Camera Division Lead
The big one is that the Continuous AF with Tracking is nowhere near as good as Nikon 3D Tracking, and you can't set it to "any subject detect" like the Nikons. Then other things like you can't re-center the focus point by long-pressing "OK" unless you have moved it recently and it is active. Punch-i

Best minimal (light/small/budget) lens combo for any situation?
Personally, I think the best overall setup is 12-45mm f4 pro, 40-150mm f4 pro, 75-300mm, dji 15mm f1.7 and sigma 56mm f1.4 (+ a flash). It would cover most situations, everything would be very small and the cost is relatively low. If I had to make a budget version of it, it would still actually incl
