Having to crop down to 5.5MP on the OM pic here to match the framing really invalidates the comparison. I get that it was just adjusting after the fact to try to compare, but it's making the difference look much bigger than reality. If you shot it at 300mm f4.5 to match the framing in camera the OM

While its pretty unique to have an astro dedicated camera, i feel like the minor modifications (filter tweaks, new color profiles) dont really justify such a hefty price increase. The OM3 was already a hard enough sell at $2k, 2500 feels like a non-starter especially since theyre narrowing the targe

silver-finished lenses to match the retro aesthetic. I dont personally get this one, all the original analog lenses from the om-zuiko series are black. Im one of those who bought a om-3 to match my analog om-1 (and Im using the old lenses with a converter) and the silver lenses are not for me, I wou

Yes. Does not help both companies, Panasonic and Olympus are focusing narrowly on their target audience, while a lot of us are waiting for a new GX85,GX9, Or from Olympus something from their compacts like the E-PM, E-PL- meanwhile seeing them refresh the OM-5 is saddening. Like Olympus (well now OM

It's notable that OM System has ignored the bottom end of the market and not produced an OM-10. Easier to go for lower volume higher margin products. And let's face it, OM System haven't produced many new designs; they've been coasting along on reheated Olympus products for a while.

Like, there was no way to get it off without rubbing it into all nooks and crannies. So I just grabbed my water bottle and washed the mud off the camera. Wo

whatever m43 camera you purchase, you won't see much in your pictures. The image quality is very similar from all the cameras for maybe like 10-13 years. What you pay for are the features on top of image quality. Mechanical dials, video features, computational photography, subject detection, weather

Few factors : - Lumix has always been a bit of a video-centric brand, ever since the GH1 released. Most of why peop[le bought Lumix cameras for was very often the excellent video specs compared to the price point, and not really their photo capabilities (which are still good) - Olympus has a HUGE ba
