Just curious why they picked the d3s for Man of Steel. Just after a bit of back ground was it considered a great camera back then. Lana used it to capture superman?

For the Netflix mini series The Residence, detective Cordelia Cupp uses a Nikon Z fc with the 16-50mm kit lens for birding. I’m willing to bet they just liked the aesthetics of the Z fc and didn’t bother to look into what lens would be appropriate to spot birds from 100 yards out.

I wish they made a black OM-3, this is what it would look like.

every camera that has any aspiration in being a retro body should be available in both silver and black, as both silver and black film cameras were generally available. Fujifilm undestood the assignment, all of their retro bodies come in either black or silver (if not more). But both OM and Nikon re

Talk me out of a Z7.

So I come from a unique perspective, where I did the same thing 5 years ago, except I went from an E-m1II + E-M1X to a Z9 and Z6. Had all the 1.2 Pro lenses too, like it was balls-deep-peak-Olympus. What I learned, was no matter what you get in Nikon-land, it’s going to be better than an E-M1II, whi

Yeah if you sort both subs by New and follow them for a while it does seem like there are more images and less chatter on Fujifilm. Probably several thi gs going on. Nikon historically has been more widely known and has made a lot more cameras than Fujifilm. A lot of gear questions in this sub are a

Been wanting a crop body for family stuff, walking around. Went style over substance on the current refurb sale. I wanna waste more of my hard-earned money! What accessories/lenses should I start looking for?

I love that camera. I’d check out the Small Rig grip. It makes it so much easier to hold and it adds a arca Swiss connection. https://www.smallrig.com/SmallRig-L-Shape-Grip-for-Nikon-Z-fc.html

Digital camera that’s decent for scanning AND for casual street/ landscape photography?

Nikon Zfc might be a good choice, it still has retro camera style but when paired with a macro lens it's great for film scanning.

DSLR or Mirrorless?

I shoot a D3s, I mention it a lot so my apologies to people that have seen my comments before. I bought it just the other year for 500 CAD, with a reasonable shutter count of 57,000. It has not let me down at all as I start doing my own freelance work. But I know for a fact, that once I start making

Zfc in May 2026?

Here is a Reddit thread from about a year ago that compares the Zfc and Z50ii. If I were you, I would go into a local camera store that sells Nikon and try out both cameras. They have very different ergonomics and trust me on this, you want to make sure that the camera you end up with feels good in

Zf c allowed?

I say absolutely! ZFc led the charge into Nikon's modern Retro style.

Nikon Z70

Z50ii blows away my old D7000 in everyway save for ergonomics and battery life. I can't see a market for something that costs more than the Z50ii when the Z5ii and Z6iii are so good for not much more money. APCs is dominated by fujifilm. I can't see there being much money in it. Lenses are how they
