Z7ii or Zf to replace Nikon F6?

If you have already made up your mind to continue with film, I’d have them give me the Z7II. It’s worth more, and when you resell it, the extra money will help you get to the F6 faster. I would like to make a suggestion; why don’t you bang a couple of frames off and give the new camera a chance? You

Repair Nikon Z5 or by used model

Don't repair it. Try to get something with the expeed 7 processor (Z50ii, Z5ii, Zf, Z6iii, Z8, Z9). If these were out of my budget, I would stick with the first generation mirrorless bodies (Z5, Z6, Z7). You can find very good deals for those. The Z6ii, Z7ii are only worth the price difference if yo

Z7II vs Z8?

They don’t share a sensor. The Z8 has a stacked sensor with a higher readout speed and no shutter paired to an Expeed 7 processor. It’s a Z9 in almost every way except for the grip and a few other niceties. The Z7ii has a BSI sensor (non-stacked), shutter, and 2x Expeed6 processors. It’s also physic

So Long to the Z7 Platform?

On a settings banks equipped modern camera (EXPEED 5 and later at least, might go back to the EXPEED 4), you can also set it to change between banks with a simple button+dial with your eye to the finder and immediate feedback, just like you'd adjust exposure compensation or ISO. There are also numer

For plane photography would getting a Nikon Z6 III be better or Nikon Z7 II

1.5x isn't necessarily how it works when comparing sensor sizes if the megapixels are vastly different due to pixel pitches. The z7ii has a pixel pitch of 4.35 um while the z50ii has a pixel pitch of 4.22 um. For reference the z6iii has a pixel pitch of 5.94 um. This translates into a pixel on the z

Please Nikon make a Z7 III

I’d be interested in a Z7iii too, but I doubt we’ll ever see one for the reasons already mentioned in this thread. That said, maybe your “pure photo” camera is already here in the Z7ii. I know—the autofocus isn’t as good as what you get with the Z6iii, and it lacks many of the newer Expeed 7 feature

Nikon Z9 Firmware 5.32 released

For the same reason Samsungs and Pixels now follow Apples lead of 7 years of software updates. It makes the devices look less of an upgrade cycle and more of a life cycle. My Sony never got anything close to this level of support and was a big reason I went to Nikon this time last year. I'm on my th

Is going from a Z7 to a D850 a downgrade, an upgrade, or a side grade?

I shot the D850 for many years. Tried to switch to Z with the z7 and for me it wasn't good enough. I sold the z7 and kept shooting the d850 for a few more years. So I'd call the d850 an upgrade from the z7. I skipped the z7ii as I felt it didn't push far enough above the z7 to try again. I did event

Z5II or Z7II

Personally I'd go for the Z5II just for the AF, especially for using F mount lenses with the FTZ as the difference is even bigger there. But I think your use cases are the only use cases that the Z7II may at least be as good if not better. So it depends on whether you're looking to branch out from y

What am I doing wrong, movement on Z7II.

From what I gathered when I initially bought the Z7 (and not the Z7II) is that it’s a slight improvement but not in the same league as Expeed 7.
