Z7ii or Zf to replace Nikon F6?

Both are good. Z7ii has a better sensor and grip, but ZF is probably better af experience and portability. I would keep in mind that the Z7ii is primary CFExpress cards so new equipment to buy while ZF has a small grip so you may need a 3rd party one for comfort.

Sony to Nikon?

Hey Mate, I've been a NIkon shooter for a long time and currently use a D4; dual D850s, still have a D750 and just bought a Z6iii. Lemme tell you a story about that So I made a massive mistake with a former partner I was working with and moved from Nikon to Sony with dual A&r4s, 8 lenses and a sony

So Long to the Z7 Platform?

Interesting. I was sold on a Z8 until I tried one and it was just too big for my hands. Z7ii was very comfortable to hold and that mattered more than the other advantages of the z8. I didn’t realize this was such a small niche.

Purchasing a Z8, what do you wish you knew or had when you got yours?

That even though the AF is incredible, there is a learning curve with mirror less AF. I came up through the Z6 then Z7ii that made the learning curve steeper but there are still some aspects to it that are distinctly different than your DSLR. Don't shoot 20fps unless you really have to, it is a lot

Nikon Autofocus quality? Z5II,6III or 7II

Anything but the z7ii. I find it’s great on a tripod but recently shot a wedding and found it losing/missing focus a lot..

So Long to the Z7 Platform?

On a settings banks equipped modern camera (EXPEED 5 and later at least, might go back to the EXPEED 4), you can also set it to change between banks with a simple button+dial with your eye to the finder and immediate feedback, just like you'd adjust exposure compensation or ISO. There are also numer

Upgrade my gear from Nikon Z6II to Nikon Z8

The z8 has two USB ports, what are you talking about with lack of ports? I went from the z7ii to z8 and have zero regrets in it. AF crushes it, it’s bigger which means better grip for me. Which I personally need after being ran over by a car. It is fast and just an awesome camera. Only legit downsid

So Long to the Z7 Platform?

I think the Z7/ii both took up excellent spots in the lineup and that Nikon should continue to market something like it. The unfiltered (I think?) high-res sensor in a relatively basic body for us landscape and general use dweebs. My Z7ii is an excellent everyday camera and a top-tier landscape came

OM System Now Majority Owned By Former Olympus Camera Division Lead

Oh I should clarify my Olympus was like decades ago. I went from canon to Nikon in 2024 and I love Nikon! Fits my hands perfectly and the files are great. Just very easy. Z7ii

Out with the old, in with the new.

I can relate, I started with the D7000 and the Tamron150-600 to a Z7ii with the Nikon 200-500 using the FTZ adapter to now a Z8 and the 180-600. So many options and modes it is a bit overwhelming. Check out Hudson Henry he has a couple of YouTube videos on setting up the Z8 and Steve Perry has a cou
