My birthday is coming up and I want an eReader but I'm overwhelmed with choices. Any personal favourites or suggestions?
Device Reasoning (ignore this section unless you're curious) - Kobo Libra H2O (I see one in pretty nice condition for $145 on eBay. It's an older device than the Libra 2, but it still serves pretty well.)- Kindle Paperwhite 6, also sometimes called the 12th gen (I'm going to go ahead and rule this o

Ditch the Kindle
Musnap is an alternative to Boox. I like the Musnap Ocean C and it’s usually on sale at Amazon for 30-40% off, case and pen too. Good reviews. Also there’s BigMe.

Are there any good 7 inch bw options right now?
I like my Musnap Ocean quite a lot. Carta 1300, very snappy processor, very basic skin of android. It is also frequently on sale and is generally the cheapest option with physical page turn buttons. It also has a recessed screen which I think gives it more clarity.

Why are B/W button devices dying out?
So there's a few solid options. The cheapest 7 inch with buttons and Carta 1300 is the Musnap Ocean, which is usually on sale. Very basic android but works well. Pen input sucks if you care but that's how it is on all of the 7 inch devices with capacitive stylus I've used. Higher end from a more rep

Musnap Ocean arrived! First impressions, and comparisons to Boox, Kobo, etc
Yes, and yes. Which is why I'm shocked the Musnap Ocean is pretty cheap (relatively), only 155 USD for the BW model with their regular coupon on Amazon US. The colour version is only a couple of bucks more.

Android E-Ink Readers for Hoopla?
Kindle is probably the most cheapest option available in the US so everything else will seem more expensive. If you want to save on cost, look into the Musnap Ocean.

Looking for a E-Reader I can buy new (specs in post)
Musnap Ocean would be my pick if I had to choose one today. Don't pay RRP though, look for the big discounts.

Libby user looking for an e-reader
Out of those, I only have experience with my boox go 7 (monochrome), which I love. That being said I’ve heard it’s not great for note taking (which I don’t do), I think the go 6 has a much better note taking experience. From what I can gather musnap ocean is pretty similar, with a newer version of a

Musnap Ocean arrived! First impressions, and comparisons to Boox, Kobo, etc
I couldn't agree more with your thoughts and review on the Musnap Ocean BW. I was very close to pulling the trigger on the Boox Go 7 but what stopped me was the overwhelming amount of complaints about their customer service and the issues with the screen being super delicate. I stumbled across the M
