Musnap is an alternative to Boox. I like the Musnap Ocean C and it’s usually on sale at Amazon for 30-40% off, case and pen too. Good reviews. Also there’s BigMe.

The Musnap Ocean BW surprisingly turned out to be my favorite 7" e-ink device. There is just something about the screen resolution & front light implementation that produces one of the best (paper-like whiteness) displays.

I like my Musnap Ocean quite a lot. Carta 1300, very snappy processor, very basic skin of android. It is also frequently on sale and is generally the cheapest option with physical page turn buttons. It also has a recessed screen which I think gives it more clarity.

So unless you remove the DRM from your existing Kindle books (can at this point in time still be done if you have a Windows PC), you need either another Kindle or a Kindle app to read those - and if you want to borrow from a library as well, that basically means Android. You won’t get anything close
