OpenWrt One – Open Hardware Router
I have just been in a circle with it and bought one that arrived at the start of this week. Originally I wanted a device to be a router with multiple 2.5G ports and some SPF+. Able to route at line rate. Ideally also with WLAN. I ruled out OpenWrt one because it has a 2.5GBps and 1GBps port. Eventua

I'm curious how people here manage their live strategies after deployment.
Running on a headless Beelink GTI14 on my home network. If I had to do again, we would probably get a MINISFORUM MS-A2 with the Ryzen 9 9955HX. It would be about the same price and has 16 cores/32 thread and they are all performance cores (the gti14 is 6 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores and 2 l

Seven years of running FreeBSD on ThinkPads alongside Linux — lessons I'd give my younger self
Using a Minisforum UM790 Pro with 64GB RAM and 5TB of SSD storage, alongside an MS-A2 powered by a Ryzen 9 9955HX with 96GB RAM and 6TB of SSDs. I’m considering adding an OCuLink eGPU setup with a 32GB Radeon R9700 AI GPU connected to the MS-A2. The Minisforum systems are geared more toward homelab

Migrating everything to Home Assistant?
I’ve been Running HA on RaspberryPi4 for a number of years, it works great for a simple setup, however my SD Card is starting to fail and I’m now moving into more advanced automations with the help of Claude. The RaspberryPi doesn’t have the grunt to run the Claude Code Addon ( I tried, it crashed)

What kind of PC do I need to run a server while playing it for ATM 10?
Get a Minisforum MS-A2 with a 9955hx/32gb/1Tb from Amazon for $1400, and then buy yourself a separate gaming PC.

Looking for the cheapest barebone Mini PC (DDR5 SO-DIMM) for a Gemma 31B home server. Thoughts on this setup?
minisforum ms-a2 or ms-01 with rtx pro 4000 blackwell sff that has n3rdware cooler. By making OS to use iGPU you can utilize all 24GB VRAM of GPU, that can run Q4 Gemma4 with some decent context.

Anyone Else Finding VCF 9.1 Requirements Insane?
Yes, you’re right there. My plan was to start with two MS-A2 nodes and use the R730 I already have as an additional node for heavier workloads. I wasn’t planning to use vSAN in the first round and would start with NFS 3 instead, mainly because SSD/NVMe prices have gone up quite a bit as well. The id

MS-A2 - barebone or not?
Just FYI: 1. Regarding buying from official Minisforum site vs Amazon: I ordered from the official site first on April 28. but canceled in early June because they did not even start to ship the Item. (They promised on the release livestream that the orders would ship before anything was going to be

My First Homelab Attempt
Ohh, Minisforum MS-A2. Love these. Have 3 of them (9955HX) and ordered 3 more since I still have 4U space empty so figured I will add more compute. Though, to fully utilize it needs like 64GB RAM at least. So my wallet is missing now -$6k just cause I couldn't look at 4U empty gap on my rack. But hey

BYOD for Work?
I'd check out robtechs reviews on minipcs. Hes very accurate with testing. I have both a UM790pro(890 is a refreshed verion with oculink)and MS-A2(8945hx). The MS-A2 is in a entirely different league in speed and can fit a 1 slot workstation gpu with PCIE 4. Has 16 core and takes sodimm. Theres also
