I live in the soupy south, too, but I use nothing but Maybelline Great Lash waterproof in the pink and green tube. Between contacts and humidity, I would definitely have raccoon eyes. I’ve used this mascara for almost 50 years, and it hasn’t failed me yet.

Interesting. I bet it’s the mascara you use! Try switching to something waterproof, those always hold better for me. My top 2 are the Better Than Sex waterproof (the blue bottle+wand) and the maybelline GreatLash waterproof (that pink and green one)

I’ve tried so many since I was a teen (40F now) and I’ve always gone back to Maybelline Great Lash (pink and green tube). My eyes have gotten a little watery over the years so I switched to waterproof and it holds up all day for me - no runs, flakes, etc.
