Dads funeral
I'm sorry about your dad. 55 is so very young. I had to stop using Maybelline's Great Lash Waterproof (pink body, black lid) because it was practically indestructible on my lashes.

Mascara
I use Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof. The trick is this: before applying, take a tissue and wipe almost ALL the mascara off the applicator. Then apply in multiple layers. You will nearly always get clumps or way too much per lash if you don't wipe first. Taught to me by a model.

Mascara
I live in the soupy south, too, but I use nothing but Maybelline Great Lash waterproof in the pink and green tube. Between contacts and humidity, I would definitely have raccoon eyes. I’ve used this mascara for almost 50 years, and it hasn’t failed me yet.

Auckland mascara wearers, help?
For 20+ years I used Cover Girl Marathon Mascara. When they discontinued it, I switched to Maybelline Waterproof Great Lash (pink and green container) and I'm still using it 20+ years later. I put on mascara twice a week and until recently I required that it stayed put through PT sessions, crying ja

Embracing my femininity at 24
Urban Decay eyeliner is my splurge. I use them down to nubs. I like pencils best. Colourpop eyeliner is hit or miss, but their shadow sticks are legit. (NYX, Wet n Wild, and Julep also have good sticks, and a ton of k-beauty brands on Amazon have options. Sticks and liquids are so much easier than p

best mascara EVER?!
Clinique Lash Power is great for length and separation. L’Oréal Voluminous waterproof or old school Maybelline Great Lash waterproof are also in the rotation. I personally use brown or black-brown because black looks too harsh. I also think that non-waterproof mascara is a waste of time. I tried the

Trying to say yes to makeup without saying yes to everything
My first makeup products were: Maybelline Great Lash in black, not water proof. Neutrogena glossy liquid lipstick in a pinky-nude. Maybelline Fit Me Blush, since that's what my mom used. Those products were cheap, natural looking, and easy to learn to use. I was 11 when I was finally allowed to have

Is there even a point in buying highend mascara?
My eyes water all the time, and if I’m not wearing shadow, mascara usually transfers onto my lids or under my eyes, and the most waterproof mascara I’ve ever used is Maybelline Great Lash. Never smudges, never flakes, I’ve worn it bare faced plenty of times and never had a single issue. If they ever
